Interview
Total 5-6 rounds. HR was helpful and transparent throughout the process, but the hiring manager seemed out of control and unclear of who they wanted to hire. The company bait and switched the role after the 2nd interview to a new team/product.

Question 1
Teach me something (5 min to prepare)
Technical interview of proprietary software (unhelpful)

The process started off with a half hour Zoom call that acted as a phone screen. This was open, transparent, and went well. I was told there would be two official rounds of interviews after this with the team, with the second round being a skills assessment. When it came time to do the first interview, they immediately told me to spend 5 minutes preparing a 10 minute presentation about any topic I wanted. When I finished presenting, they spent the next 10 minutes picking the presentation apart. There was no opportunity to ask crucial role discovery questions, or to highlight my experience. They concluded the interview by saying, “If we decide to hire anybody right now, we'll let you know.” If we decide to hire anybody? A complete waste of my time.
