First phone interview was with hiring manager. Manager's accent was difficult to understand over the phone, but he was generally nice.
Second interview was an in-person interview with hiring manager and VP. Included fairly easy SQL case study. Manager was a lot easier to understand and communicate with in person. They informed me I was their "top candidate" for the job. Was asked if I could commit to starting right away in two weeks. I said yes.
Hiring manager called a hasty 3rd interview over the phone with lots of specific SQL-operation related questions. Spent a lot of my time saying "Pardon me?". Was again assured I was their "top candidate". Was asked repeatedly whether I could start in two weeks. I said yes, repeatedly.
Then silence. Weeks of silence.
