What are pay raises like at Accenture?

      Accenture reviews

      Very poor payscale

      Senior analyst
      Current employee
      Bengaluru
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      None, no pros at all

      Cons

Poor payscale, 0 work-life balance, no hikes, no promotions, no incentives, poor salary structure, a big chunk of your CTC is variable pay out of which only 5% will be paid if you are a top-performer

Everything is great except for salary due to no pay raise and little to no promotions available

      Packaged app development associate
      Current employee
      Singapore
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

The colleagues, company culture, benefits, annual leave benefit, chance of working in Raffles City Tower and WFH.

      Cons

We haven't gotten pay raise for nearly 2 years now, and promotion has been scarce.

Great work-life balance and pay, poor leadership and values

      Packaged app development specialist
      Current contractor
      Chicago, IL
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      - Good work-life balance; my client doesn't require work on weekends without planning well in advance. - Co-workers with diverse backgrounds. - For contractors with Accenture Flex, we get higher hourly base pay in lieu of bonuses.

      Cons

      - If you are on contract with Accenture Flex, there simply are no promotions, but you can get a raise if your work performance is adequate. - If your people lead is largely absent like mine is, good luck getting any needs taken care of! - In my experience, Accenture leadership cares more about appearances than about making things right. If someone on the Accenture side is underperforming, they would rather you make up BS to say in front of the client than call out the underperformer's poor work. If you call out the poor work you will be treated with aggression no matter how politely you say it. - Raises are not what they will tell you verbally; for example, they might say "you're getting a 5% raise" but you will actually get 4.75%, and they might say "it'll start next paycheck" but it won't arrive till 4 paychecks later and they won't pay you any back pay for those 3 missed paychecks.

      ARHS (bought by Accenture)

      Software developer
      Current employee
      Zaventem
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Good salary, nice culture (work hard play hard)

      Cons

The car policy was bad (Abarth for juniors) and the pay raise process is chaotic (some that deserve more never get one because the project they are not "doesn't bring a lot of money to the company") Will probably be better once the Accenture acquisition is complete

Overall, a good work life balance

      Senior contract analyst
      Current employee
      Bucharest, Bucuresti
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Remote work, medium stress level (there is always someone to cover you), interacting with diverse staff from around the world.

      Cons

Difficulties gathering new skills via work from home, opaqueness in bosses decisions, no pay raises in 2 years.

      It used to be good

      Graphic and visual design specialist
      Former employee
      Dublin, Dublin
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Worked in Accenture for 6 years. - Had a slow but steady professional growth until 2022. - Learned a lot about the corporate world and, as a designer, about corporate identity. - Had the chance to meet and collaborate with so many amazing people from around the world. The people really made the company. - Learned a lot about good leadership from a few compassionate and caring managers. - Flexibility - Social events and events used to be great fun before 2020.

      Cons

      - Treated as a mere number and was laid off right after having a very successful year, - Lots of admin throughout the year. - Learned a lot about bad leadership from uncaring and detached managers. - Very slow promotions, almost absent pay raise, lower salaries compared to other companies. From 2022 onward, events and social engagement were almost absent. No team building activities, zero team spirit. Managers lost and were unable to explain what was happening. Culture went down uncontrollably leaving so many people afraid of losing their jobs. The company started following tech trends way too closely in the last few years, with a seriously dehumanizing approach toward the workforce. Unclear messaging around redundancies and, a complete lack of human touch in communicating. After giving this company so much of my time and effort, the ending was a very bittersweet blow.

All good but... a lot of corporate excuses

      Analyst
      Former employee
      Warsaw, Masovia
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Amazing people and opportunities. Lots of working with other cultures and sectors.

      Cons

Too much focus on money and number rather than people and their aspirations or goals. Also very possible that if the corporations is 0.5% off its profit target, no one will get the promised pay raise and there is nothing your managers can do... So 2 years of not knowing if my work will pay off... Nope, time to move on then

      Truly unhuman

      Senior manager
      Current employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      opportunities in low cost locations

      Cons

opportunities in low cost locations, more responsibilities, more pressure, without any of the benefits (no promotions, no salary increases, and ill treatment) + layoffs in high cost locations

Broken system for chargeability, no promotions, leadership has no interest in your career growth

      Technology consulting manager
      Former employee
      New York, NY
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Decent pay but lately due to no bonus, no raise, it’s not very competitive. However they have great learning hubs and resources to pull from that makes your job easy.

      Cons

Broken system for chargeability, no promotions, leadership has no interest in your career growth. No bonus, no raise. They keep acquiring companies to show the pipeline of revenue but the actual numbers don’t add up. People are back stabby. The skill sets and titles of individuals who get acquired are not matched perfectly when they acquire, and they tend to rip you off in the process. The leadership has absolutely no idea about who’s doing what and doesn’t care. If you have the highest chargeability you might get a chance of promotion but in the past two years no one’s been promoted.

Strong networking and training, but limited growth opportunities

      Packaged app development associate
      Current employee
      Saint Petersburg, FL
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      - Greeat for networking adn giving back to the community - Lots of training and development opportunities - Great for networking - Great benefits included - Very inclusive

      Cons

      - Little opportunity for growth if no work available - Not a ton of universal structure across the company - HR not very involved - Finding your own job within the company, not secure - More priority for positions for senior managers, not a ton of opportunities for new joiners, Analysts, and Associates - Pay not great, does not match cost of living for the working city, no pay increases with promotions
