As we gear up for the year ahead, it's crucial to take a moment to look back at our achievements over the past 12 months. We're proud of the strides we've made and are committed to stepping up to build on this success and drive real change in the world. These numbers represent our genuine impact. But what do they actually mean? - Treating water and removing contaminants – means we’re safeguarding nature and biodiversity. 💧 - Supporting renewable energy projects – means we’re contributing to the tripling of renewable energy by 2030. 🔋 - Contributing expertise to strategic partners– means we’re supporting them to make a lasting impact across biodiversity, climate action, and social sustainability. 🤝 - Leading the global conversation on sustainability– means we’re providing businesses with actionable insights to help understand the risks and opportunities created by the sustainability transformation. 🌏 - Engaging executives to drive safety leadership – means we’re helping leaders create a safer, healthier, more engaged, and more productive workforce. 👷♀️ While we’re proud of these achievements, we’re also excited about stepping up to drive more action. Let's continue striving for a brighter and more sustainable future together!

Karen Aitchison, Global Head of Mental Health and Wellbeing at ERM, explains what PRIDE is all about - for her, for the LGBTQ+ community, and for ERM in the shape of this year’s campaign. ”For me, “Supporting without Exceptions“ is transcending performative allyship. While PRIDE is often associated with fun, flags, and festivals, genuine allyship involves self-reflection, a commitment to learning and listening, and, most importantly, the courage to intervene. ”By striving for this, I believe we can create more psychologically safe workplaces for the LGBTQ+ community.” #Pride #Pride2024

We are absolutely thrilled to share that ERM has received the THIS CAN HAPPEN award for the Best New Workplace Approach to Mental Wellbeing. This award is given to a workplace that has recognized the importance of mental well-being and, within the past 18 months, has taken steps to change the culture via a holistic and focused approach. We’ve been recognized for our “Security to Thrive” program, praised by judges as a “brilliant holistic initiative.” The program addresses the growing need for a more human-centric approach to mental health and well-being by educating individuals on the physiological aspects of stress responses, providing practical tools for emotional regulation, and, drawing on insights from neuroscience, explores ways to enhance empathy and social connections. With a strong focus on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), the program actively explores how to create a working environment where all individuals feel valued and supported. Participants report heightened self-awareness, improved emotional regulation, and enhanced stress management. Senior leaders also observe that the program has deepened their understanding of colleagues' emotional experiences and positively influenced their conflict resolution and feedback skills, all of which contribute to a thriving work environment. Inclusivity, solidarity, and cultural diversity are so important to us at ERM. We want every person who works with us to feel supported, welcomed, and valued. As part of this ongoing commitment, we recently launched the Asian Professional Network employee resource group (ERG) to foster discussion and connection with ERMers worldwide who identify as Asian and their allies who are passionate about Asian culture, history, and experiences. Aligned with this ERG is a new global observance —the Asian Cultural Exchange, which our people have been celebrating globally throughout May. The Asian Cultural Exchange provides an opportunity to unite and promote the rich and diverse cultures, traditions, contributions, and achievements of Asian communities. LinkedIn carries some thoughts from our colleagues on the month's theme, “Embracing Cultural Diversity.”
