Pros

Flexible remote work, some colleagues

Cons

Rotten is the best word I can think of to describe this company. The recent appointment of a new CRO has only exacerbated issues in the whole customer organization. Micromanagement by this guy has become the norm, with every move and decision scrutinized to an unhealthy extent. This stifles autonomy and trust, leaving employees feeling suffocated and demoralized. One of the most concerning aspects of this toxic environment is the detrimental impact on employee mental health. The constant pressure, lack of support, and micromanagement have resulted in a significant decline in the well-being of many colleagues. Stress and burnout are rampant, and it's heartbreaking to witness the toll this takes on individuals who were once passionate and dedicated to their work. It's disappointing to see a company once known for its potential take such a turn for the worse. Do yourself and your mental health a favor and stay as far as possible.

When this review appeared, it took us by surprise. To not let it fall through the cracks, we've addressed it first internally. Let us chime in for those looking to understand the full picture. At the time of the review, our new CRO just started with us for only 3 weeks. Interestingly, it takes 4 weeks for a caterpillar to transform into a butterfly – a tidbit to ponder. Just like any new starter, our CRO simply required some time to familiarize himself with our people, products, and work methodologies. Of course, we also agree that well-thought through decisions require having all the facts. On the note of interesting facts, our recent Happiness Survey from November 2023 reveals no indications of micromanagement or toxicity within our ranks. As we emphasize, our doors are wide open, welcoming any questions or discussions without reservation. Eager to delve deeper? Pros

The salary is okay/ industry-conform

Cons

Working here has been an absolute nightmare. The onboarding period was chaotic and way too short. Due to a lack of employees (people leaving left and right and not being replaced), I had to step in almost immediately. After two months I was already doing the job of two people. When I asked for help, I was told by management to improve my time management and the blame was basically put on me. If you consider taking a job here, just don't, the management is a disaster.

Pros

Great values, some amazing people

Cons

My time at Uberall has been quite a journey. Joining a company with an amazing culture as it expanded into North America was exhilarating. Growth naturally brings change and learning. However, as we grew, Uberall's leaders seemed to learn less from their mistakes. The days of a "flat hierarchy" and off-site meetings are gone. Over the past few years, I've seen the leadership in Germany cling to the past and resist change. Uberall's values are simple and inspiring, applicable both at work and at home, regardless of political or religious beliefs. Unfortunately, our executives do not lead by these values. Sadly, my initial optimism has faded. There are still a handful of AMAZING individuals at Uberall who have the potential to guide us through our challenges. But will they be given the chance? Probably not, considering the executives are aware of the problems but take too long to make decisions or plans. When they do, the solutions are overly complicated, filled with fluff and buzzwords, and involve either too many people or the wrong people. Another significant issue is the undercurrent of xenophobia and racism, particularly towards Americans, anyone not based in Germany and People of Color.
