Pros

The location of the office is great (unfortunately, employees cannot enjoy the great food, parks, etc. of downtown since working overtime and through lunches is required to meet the unreasonable and, quite often, impossible deadlines).

Cons

I'm truly embarrassed (and frustrated) that Excel HR management is putting so much time and effort into writing fake reviews (any of the 4 or 5 stars), instead of taking the time to read the factual, negative reviews and reflecting on the comment and suggestions in order to better their work environment, company culture, and employee health, happiness, and well being. The fact that management is unwilling to even acknowledge these serious issues gives me great concern for the current and future employees at Excel HR.

Pros

-Fun people to work with -Booze on Fridays

Cons

Where to start? For one there is NO ongoing training. Basically they train you then feed you to the wolves and expect you to know if you are doing a good job or not. They don't give you any feedback on how well you are doing or if you are contributing to the team. When I was working there I saw so many people be fired or quit. THIS IS AN INDICATION OF WHAT ITS LIKE TO BE IN YOUR COMPANY. Why don't you put more effort into keeping your employees? Instead of having a constant turn over of employees. This reflects on how much you really care about your employees. I've spoken with so many people who've been let go because they are "not the right fit" thats BS. You hired them for a reason - maybe if you put more time into employees instead of spending money and time on "events" and booze you'd actually be running a more successful company. Its pathetic. I've started working at a new Recruiting company and they actually care about their employees. They are not expected to work 10 hours a day. WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS - we have lives - working here made me depressed and hate my life. Leaving this company was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. I didn't realize how depressed it actually made me working here.

Pros

Firstly, I cannot see how anyone would believe the positive comment below. It is completely scripted. I know because I worked there. I feel sorry for anyone that still works there for that matter.

Cons

You are expected to sign your life away to the company..but they make you feel like you are joining their "family" at first. Don't even think of having any plans of your own, and if you do, expect to have to explain every detail. Lots of overtime and you are not compensated. (Technically through commission) but it's not nearly worth the amount they expect. If you leave on time, expect to get disappointed looks from management and co-workers. This is not an HR position. It's a call centre where you harass your clients every single day. If you are fake and soulless this might be the place for you! Good luck and see for yourself.
