Pros

-Fun people to work with -Booze on Fridays

Cons

Where to start? For one there is NO ongoing training. Basically they train you then feed you to the wolves and expect you to know if you are doing a good job or not. They don't give you any feedback on how well you are doing or if you are contributing to the team. When I was working there I saw so many people be fired or quit. THIS IS AN INDICATION OF WHAT ITS LIKE TO BE IN YOUR COMPANY. Why don't you put more effort into keeping your employees? Instead of having a constant turn over of employees. This reflects on how much you really care about your employees. I've spoken with so many people who've been let go because they are "not the right fit" thats BS. You hired them for a reason - maybe if you put more time into employees instead of spending money and time on "events" and booze you'd actually be running a more successful company. Its pathetic. I've started working at a new Recruiting company and they actually care about their employees. They are not expected to work 10 hours a day. WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS - we have lives - working here made me depressed and hate my life. Leaving this company was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. I didn't realize how depressed it actually made me working here.

Pros

I’m so happy to work at excel that I have to disagree with the one comment below. Everyone here treats each other with so much respect – when I’m really busy, there’s always someone who jumps in to help me search for a candidate. My manager is amazing… you see it as micro-management, but the number of phone calls I make and the number of candidates I interview is really a formula for me to be successful. So I look at it as feedback that helps me do a great job – that’s unfortunate you didn’t see it the same way. You are right that we interview a lot of job seekers. You may remember that we place 1 in 3 candidates in jobs – making thousands of placements every year. To place that many, we need to interview hundreds of candidates to find the right fit for our clients. That’s what makes us a great staffing company – a large database with lots of qualified candidates to choose from. When I read your comments, it really sounds like there wasn’t a personality fit for you here. I love my team and we work together really well. Excel is an exciting company to work for with fun events for the team. I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else!

Cons

In my eyes, there are none. It can be frustrating if a candidate doesn't show up for an interview, but I just meet more people until I've found the best options for my clients.

Pros

I've been working at ExcelHR for a little while now, and I wanted to give my perspective on the company. Like the poster below, I saw the negative reviews on here when I first interviewed for my position, and I have to admit that they gave me pause. But after doing a day of job-shadowing with my current Manager, I got a better feel for the company and the culture and decided to go for it. I'm glad that I did! First thing's first. The staffing industry is not for everyone. It's deadline-driven, and the hours can be long. Either you thrive on that kind of work or you don't. I honestly enjoy my job, and I love the feeling I get when I learn that my proposal helped put somebody in a contract. That makes it worthwhile to me. On to the Pros: * Fun company culture. They put on lots of events and give out nice gifts/incentives to keep you going. I'm a fairly shy person, and all the games/drinks/celebrations, etc. have helped me get to know my coworkers better. I really appreciate the work they put into them. * Great management and training. I've learned a lot about the industry in a short amount of time, and I've gotten lots of helpful feedback and advice on my work. My manager is extremely accessible and knowledgeable, and her expectations are more than reasonable. I've never felt as though I'm being micromanaged. * Bright, attractively decorated offices. The proposal writers have convertible sitting/standing desks which are awesome!

Cons

No real cons! It's a great place to work.
