Pros

HR is very aggressively strong in hiring, but yet so weak in retaining all the skillful employees

Cons

Never ever come across to deal with the Regional team upper management Hong Kong people that currently has been relocated to TW. It's either they will treat you as a very dumb creature if you unable to give a good answer within 5 seconds during call/meetings with them, or they are just so good in despising people when things didnt go according to their expectations. In fact sometimes its so challenging to provide some feedbacks and discuss with them on the solutions to the issues when they are just so damn freaking rigid with their own culture and own ways of doing things. It's very discouraging to work for them, as it could be they are just inexperienced in their management skilss or they just die-hard wanting all the regions to adapt to their own culture

Pros

Ecv is a company that is strongly dedicated in boosting our image to cover up insecurities Here's how my boss do it: 1) Backbiting other comptitors to the customers in order to potray ourselves seems like more outstanding than other partners 2) Simply claim some of the big names customers as our own ecv customers during small talk with new customers when some of the big names are not even with us, just that they are using aws 3)Please check out the fake 5 stars reviews on google & fake 4/5 stars reviews on glassdoor, while linkedin is definitely a good platform for a good act

Cons

1) Very low pay, please come ecv if you do not know the value of yourself as my boss is too kiam with you salary by finding the weakness in you that you have no IT knowledge at all 2) Full of politics in my team since my boss loves to create drama causing us to be very divided and compete with one another. You will notice it as you stay here longer 3) Management are quite unprofessional in people management causing very high turnover rate in the company. Currently every month average 3-5 resigning 4) Only 2 face kind of employees that have close relationship with management are highly appreciated with promotions even though they are incapable but with the skill of "polishing the management shoes" is good enough 5) "Work hard play harder" But how much time do we even left to play. Dont expect for work life balance here due to high turnover rate and low budget, your workloads can hardly even do autoscaling so just suck it in mate 6) Low bonus and poor employee benefits, numbers of annual leave not even up to the market normal standards Ecv is a perfect fit for employees that dont really know their worth and please come here if you feel like your life do not have enough of toxic drama to watch which i find it quite demotivating if i still want to continue staying in the team

Little growth in skillset, but good as a retirement job

Pros

- Open to new ideas - Give you chance to take the lead and improvise if you already have the skills/knowledge - Pantry filled with snacks - Folks in here are very friendly and happy to help you

Cons

- Stingy salary with close-to-none benefits; Annual salary increment $100 or less (not counted by %), performance bonus not fairly given (KPI target given mismatch bonus reward, bonus only based on your local office, even if you help out other countries). Only staff benefit is Medical Insurance with Co-payment of $10 each trip. - Limited growth for you to learn skills as they have a very traditional way of doing things (not very Tech-savvy, probably due to limited operational budget) - Management Team are too young and inexperienced, often with no clear direction (except for aiming higher revenue yoy, if talk about how to achieve, that question will be passed back to you). Plans go all over the place, they can ask you to start on it but midway it gets paused because Management don’t know how to handle it and gets halted in the end. Not very ideal if you are looking to learn from management team - Provide OJT training or learn from Seniors but no other external upgrading or upskill courses
