Pros

I really enjoyed most of my colleagues.

Cons

Horrendous employment contract conditions like 1 year probationary period, financial costs of recruitment claw back if you leave before year. It is a fore taste of how the company treats people. Unscrupulous sales people that will do and say anything. Horrendous divisions between sales and delivery. Nepotism is name of the game, they have a history of telling people to leave just before 2 years service is up with no explanation. I even know if one person that let go with a whole group after just 7 weeks on the job. Reckless irresponsible recruitment with the candidate taking the biggest risk and it. You will not get your bonus.

We would like to thank you for your review as all feedback is welcome. As a business we strive to cultivate an exceptional work ethic and a safe, fair, rewarding and productive environment for all of our staff. In comparison to other reviews, your opinion differs from the sentiments of others here on Glassdoor. Nonetheless, the comments have been taken on board and will be discussed at length. As a business, we continually review our employees and will always promote the notion of ‘raising of the bar’ to give our clients the best experience possible. We accept that this isn’t for everyone and give ample opportunity for people to provide feedback. It should be noted that the probation period is 6 months not 1 year, however can be extended if extra time and support is required.

Pros

Great colleagues - until they resign or simply vanish...

Cons

The firm in a state of turmoil. From January until May over 50 staff have left and there are countless others unhappy and looking. Since the buyout by DXC it is almost like the management don't care any longer. There is no effort to try to retain any of those leaving or address the common issues that 90% of the leavers have. During recruitment the promises made about 'fast-track' training, on-boarding and development would be excellent, if only any of it was truthful. Quite simply the promised 'fast-track' training was cut back from external courses with professional trainers to an in-house course in order to save money. Course materials & support are non-existent and the Microsoft accreditation is now something you're expected to do yourself in your own time with no support or external resource to 'fast-track' you to succeed. There was no shadowing of experienced consultants for new starters in order to learn the 'ebecs' methodology. You're put straight into a fee earning role and left to sink or swim with pure luck as to whether you get a supportive project team or left to fester and be sacked at the end of your probation period and ordered straight out the building and told not to contact colleagues! For those considering a role - some food for thought. **They will try and claim back recruitment fees from staff that leave within 12 months, so probation is ONE WAY. ** There are no proper pay reviews, even after being promised opportunities would be available at the end of the probation and also when you start billing ** The turnover of staff in staggering - we had 3 line managers within first 6 months and so management can only ever pay lip service only to concerns but nothing ever happens. ** Project Managers spend more time fighting for resources than proactively planning due to poor balance of resources, leading to badly managed projects and most projects are in firefighting mode with directors being wheeled in to placate one angry client after another. ** Staff are simply profit centres and ebecs have no issue with charging out graduates with a couple of years experience at a senior consultant rate, expect the work of a senior consultant but won't pay the graduate a consultant rate. Shocking. In summary, a word to sum up the company - Shambles.
