Poor managers in general. Awful salaries, and not much team building or work satisfaction. Company continues to rely heavily on existing staff contributing to a high burn out rate. Starting salaries are low, and expect to get given excuses when yearly reviews are up. You can be the most productive and high performing employee and it wouldn't change your pay grade.
No interest in continuity and talent retention. The general attitude from the c-suite is let them leave if they don't like it. Not much to inspire a young and vibrant work force. Managers are mostly older military type, white men who are stuck in some time-warp from the 80s. Not much interest in making the workplace enjoyable for a new generation of analysts. We are here to make money and earn money, this is not the federal government, there is no greater good. Its just business. There is not much diversity at the top. No room to grow and few promotion prospects.
Expect a highly passive aggressive working environment, low morale and out-of-date management style making it difficult to take PTO. Managers generally don't trust their staff and certainly don't have their finger on the pulse of morale. The company/HR is overly bureaucratic, and does not promote development, or invest in further education.
