I'm sad to say that there are so many. I'll try to summarize the big ones. *Salary* You'll be told that salaries are in line with the market, but they are absolutely not. They'll manipulate titles to get to the lowest salary possible. This could actually be more of a Vista thing since WT is part of the Vista Equity portfolio. People are drastically underpaid, sometimes by as much as 20-25% compared to the industry. *Culture* This is an "employee experience" company, but the culture feels fake and forced at times. *Instability* The COO has run off about 5-6 directors over the last 18 months or so, countless others at lower levels, and there are several people still here who want to leave because of her as soon as they find something else (me included). Turnover is unbelievable in CS. The 2 recent CS directors were making some really positive changes, but they're gone now and I'm not so sure they really left because they wanted to. It's too coincidental that they left within a month of each other. I'd love to stay at WorkTango, but the COO is toxic, only cares about herself, and her first instinct is to get rid of people instead of nurturing and coaching up. If you are working under her, she does not give a flip about you. It is extremely stressful working for her because you never know where you stand. She accepts no responsibility for anything and makes others her scapegoat when things go wrong. People are afraid to own up to mistakes for fear of her wrath. She does not buy into learning from mistakes. If you make a mistake, she will get rid of you as soon as she can. She does not care if you remedied that mistake and improved. I've seen it happen. This is textbook leadership gone wrong. The CEO and other C-levels need to dig in and understand what is happening here. Note: the COO will probably jump on here and say something like, "we've made some intentional changes...", but the changes that are being made are not addressing the real problem, which is her. My advice: Steer clear of this place for the sake of your mental health unless some serious changes are made.
