Pros

Great brand name, impressive case studies, impressive current client names, some really talented team members, clients all over the country, fun office culture

Cons

Best work was done over 5 years ago, a lot of really awesome people have left, resignations every few weeks, every pitch is a scramble, projects not resourced with enough people or time, leadership is all based in London and they care more about that office than the NY and SF ones, bad pay and slow promotions, too much strategy for too little design

Hi - it's Sairah here. Thanks for taking time out to share your feedback, I appreciate it. Thrilled to know you enjoyed our culture, our people and all the great client opportunities we're involved in - that's wonderful. I'm guessing you may have left a while ago given our cross-studio US leadership has been in place all year, with Forest promoted to global CCO out of the US (and that we've had exit interviews with everyone who has left in recent times). While it's been a challenging year with the pandemic, it's also one that has pulled us all closer together globally and made us stronger as a result. I'd like to think that if you were with us now you'd feel differently and more positively. All the best for the future.

Pros

Such a special company in lots of ways, this is a place where if you have the assertiveness to seek opportunities and put yourself out there, you will be rewarded with high quality training, development opportunities and a rich and stimulating daily environment. The staff body is an extremely intelligent and passionate group of people, and a lot of effort is put into office culture to counter long working hours, with generous breakfasts, lunches and extra curricular activities.

Cons

Strategic rather than creative focus, clients’ visions (in my time there) did not match the radical ambition of the company, limiting potential of the creative work.

Hi - it's Sairah here. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts here. I'm thrilled to know that you found the place stimulating and were able to develop with us, as well as enjoy the extra curricular stuff - that's wonderful. I note your points about work balance, as well as the need to be assertive to get the most out of the place. I think that's fair and something we're paying greater attention to.

Pros

People at moments are great, good benefits, holidays, flexible, locations Creative work can be plentiful, but need cash cows as well.

Cons

Compensation if you are not in UPPER MGMT, not many raises, operates like an inverted pyramid so there are a lot of high high salaries at the top and that's why people at the bottom don't get raises often.

Hi - it's Sairah here. Thanks for taking time out to share your thoughts and your positive feedback about the work and the benefits we offer. I take on board your advice to ensure those who don't make a fuss don't get overlooked. The external pay benchmarking survey carried out each year is designed to ensure fairness across the board, so I was a little confused by your comment on compensation. The survey is due to happen this quarter and I'll catch up with Tom and Ashley. Thanks again and good luck with your new adventures!
