Steer clear of this sinking ship

Pros

There are still some really good, smart, hardworking people here who care about doing what is best for customers, but they are getting beat into the ground and sadly are losing their motivation. The most talented people are being laid off or are leaving voluntarily because they don't agree with Sr. leadership strategy (or lack thereof).

Cons

Archaic senior leadership that "manages" rather than leads through fear, intimidation, micromanaging and cronyism. This company is failing and you don't have to look past the C level to understand why. Don't tell them their baby is ugly - even though it is. Product problems are rampant, cloud technology is embarrassingly immature and ineffective but sales people are encouraged to lead with cloud despite knowing full well that it can't deliver what customers need. The culture is oppressive. There is no focus on employee satisfaction, development or recognition at a company level and any business leader or middle manager who tries to do it him or herself is slapped down.

Used to be a great place to work, now it’s horrible

Pros

Back years ago (5 or so) or was a great place. Very friendly atmosphere. Great coworkers. Used to give lunch even daily if we go back about 8-10yrs ago. Now it’s only every once a week. Core employees genuinely cares about their people.

Cons

Product - has multiple issues. Ridden with bugs. Never fully QA tested and controlled released properly. Almost every install at a customer site is an issue. They make it seem like it’s the best thing since sliced bread, sure. It’s more like a bunch of shoe string integrations that was fall like a deck of cards. HR - these folks are probably some of the worst folks in the company. They absolutely seem to despise people vs helping or develop them. They are more interested in helping upper management get rid of folks. The review process is a joke at best. You could look at your manager the wrong way and they are fully entitled to give you the lowest rating on the scale and HR will fully back them up. If you fight it, you can basically sign your exit papers while you at it. HR will put up a front like how they do community programs like build a park or toys for tots but they can’t even help heir own employees. Services - changed a lot over the years as industry changes. But the management team running that side is short of a circus act. They came from different industries and refuse to understand this industry and just want to shove their approach down everyone’s throat. They are not actually growing any business. It’s been stagnant for years. Lost a lot I mean a lot of key talent on this side and management team could care less. They more interested in moving most of it offshore and keep consultants onshore.

Death Spiral

Pros

Some decent and talented employees. Many however are looking for new jobs. Used to be a great work environment however repeated lay offs have made the culture toxic.

Cons

Senior management doesn't know what it's doing. Each quarter of disappointing results leads to more lay offs. Job insecurity has led to talented engineers leaving for other companies. The company is now in a death spiral. Senior management is wasting shareholders money on acquiring companies they haven't a clue how to integrate with the rest of the business. Kana acquisition was a disaster.
