Pros

We collect a salary CV is now on market I can’t think of any other pros, as the cons just outweigh them

Cons

Technology is totally stone-age. Technically team are not allowed to make suggestions for improvement and they remain ignored. Document management system is non-existent. CFO & other team members (quite a few) resign and teams are finding out from people in another locations who no longer work for the firm. Communication is key. CFO leaving is big sign that company isn’t going in a good direction. Zero communication continues to be its failing for the last 3+yrs. Human Resources treats people like rubbish and the management team are supportive of the attitude. Management team are all in their own circle of denial, their way or the highway. Every problem becomes that someone else. Reduced benefits and failure to pay pensions then openly blame someone who had already left the company - very unprofessional Anyone can spend a ton of cash on to make it look good on the outside. Emails about small deals closing but bonuses are reduced dramatically or worse. This is only the tip of the sharp iceberg there are many more hideous goings on which I’m surprised haven’t made this platform.

Pros

I honestly cannot think of any. A good location in the city centre and a couple of recruitment agents just round the corner.

Cons

I have been working here for between 4 and 5 years and have witnessed some appalling behaviour by executive and latterly, senior management. Despite all the uncertainty and lies told by ICE, “we love you, we want you, you should stay and work for us” Despite all the favouritism show to friends and family, some even talking nice big fat retainers, then even bigger redundancy payments and then coming back within months as site management to presumably a pay rise. there was a good bunch of testers. programmers, support staff and BAs, people who did the day to day work, who knew their stuff and also were happy to teach us youngsters. However, most of these people have left and those who remain seem to be looking to jump ship when a decent opportunity arises and there seem to be a few decent ships coming to Belfast this year. Don’t come here for bonus, pay rise or promotion, unless you are married to existing managers, living with them or else worked here during Wombat. Don’t come here for exciting technology unless you think that 32 bit operating systems, C programming and vi as your IDE is modern. Cx11 is already 4 years old and not a single senior techie is even considering upgrading to this. Anyway, I won’t be having my 5 year anniversary here, I’ve had enough, there was plenty of promise and some progress made 2 or 3 years ago but things really have gone backwards over the last year and it seems to be getting worse. However, since the sale to SR Labs, all progress forward in terms of process, discipline, team work and getting people the right market data and environment to develop and test products have gone by the way side.

Pros

The biggest pro are the colleagues.... and they hate the place as much as I do. Great bunch though. Young average age and good fun.

Cons

Management are the big problem and all the crap trickles down. Bad organisation and pandering to customers' demands leads to stress for all "lower down" workers. The New York office treats the people in the other offices like second-class people. They have an attitude of a large corporation even though they're a tiny fish which is embarrassing for all involved. The higher-ups are all just mouthpieces with no actual idea of how the company should be run effectively. They preach the whole year round that things are going great and they are making big money. They send out emails to the whole company every time they make a sale. Then, miraculously, when bonus/pay-rise time comes around, the company is on its knees.
