Pros

-Kaiser and Anthem HMO are free to you, as long as you're single and have no dependents -People are some of the most knowledgeable in the industry and most are a joy to work with -Get paid weekly -They put you in a position to learn, and you can really gain a lot of knowledge because they throw you into the fire

Cons

-HMO + PPO is ridiculous if you have dependents, Vector pays you every week, so they take something like $80/paycheck for an HMO just for a dependent. Don't even ask me how much the PPO costs with dependent -Vesting Schedule is ridiculous for the 401k. They match $0.10 for every $1, but you won't take those all 10 cents until 6 years. -There is no way you'd rate Vector 5 Stars unless you're an officer or partner of the company, just look at the fake reviews on here -I would have to drop what I'm doing as a NOC (critical situations with external customers) and help out one of the owners and partners purchase a new iPhone...ridiculous -The training is non-existent, not really the fault of the employees, but more so of management failing to create the proper workflow and knowledge transfers. Don't expect to be onboarded properly--IT WON'T happen. -Turnover is ridiculously high in the IT side. Their knack for retaining talent is horrible. Within the span of 1 year, I saw so many people come and go, I thought I was at a train station. -So much micro-management going on, you end up being frustrated and take home the frustration with you. -They throw you into the fire (see pros up above) -Change Management is not existent from the internal network side for vector. Management would just institute changes and deal with the outcome the next day. How about a heads up? -We had Office365 licenses, and then they were taken away because I'm assuming the company was being cheap by not wanting to pay for the licenses -CAMERAS! There are more surveillance cameras here than there are at a pharmacy for crying out loud. Ownership has an infatuation with looking at people on camera that work for THEM for some reason, not just because they sell the equipment and services to it. This doesn't foster and environment of trust. -Mistakes aren't encouraged, they're dealt with and frowned upon. I've heard so much yelling, including an incident where there was yelling by a manager and the entire floor heard it with new hires being on boarded that week! My body literally responded by being in a "Flight or Fight" response. -Management tends to blame the lower employees for "poor results" instead of looking at the processes in place (or lack there of) and looking at themselves. -Bonuses were a joke, we didn't get one. It was $170 before taxes for the entire year of 2016. Ridiculous. Just call it a stipend.

Pros

Free bagels on Tuesdays, free keurig coffee, teas, etc. If that is really a pro... ummmm yea you might want to reconsider.

Cons

was warned from day 1 about this place being too political. No I mean really... day 1 when I signed on. Who the heck tells you that? Who warns you to be careful about this place the day you sign up?!?!?!? oh and the company is pretty cheap. cheap in everything. I been with this place for several years.. NEVER gotten a raise. Didn't get training even though I was promised several times. Depending on your skiillset and how little you make, they send you away for a long period of time, not good if you have a family. oh and the training I got, was an online course that was free and took 2 hrs and the credit I got wasn't even an certification but an exam. Really? You call that training? Place is super strict depending on who you are. And super laxed if you are in favor with the management. Place likes smart-dumb people. People who are smart enough to do the job, dumb enough to realize that they can go somewhere else and do better. Also... benefits are horrible and beyond expensive. If you have a spouse, use theirs. If you don't have a spouse to use, maybe you should get another job to pay for benefits. There's a person who actually does that. I'm not even joking. Employees are great minus a few idiots which we all get at every company. Management depending on who they are... be cautious! You could be a wizard today and a frog tomorrow and no one is gonna kiss you.

I’m sorry your experience with VectorUSA was not a positive one. Individuals can have a unique experience with office and work culture at any business. And like any business that cares about its employees, we strive to create a healthy work environment that gives people the ability to do their best work with as little stress as possible. We encourage our employees who have issues to reach out to their managers or to our Human Resources Department if they need to discuss any issues. Health care and other benefits are something we are constantly evaluating. VectorUSA strives to offer plans that are affordable while still offering comprehensive care. VectorUSA also offers 401k and other benefits. In closing, VectorUSA is a great place to work and as with any job, it’s often what you make of it. Dave Zukerman VectorUSA President and CFO

Pros

You can make mistakes over and over with no repercussions. Management is lacking authority.

Cons

After more than 5 years here, this is the most dysfunctional company I have ever worked for. There are no employee reviews, raises or acknowledgement of hard work. If you enjoy being worked to death and taken advantage of..this is the place to work. The partners are bullies, the sales team is lackadaisical, the operations department is slow, lame and unskilled, the engineering team is disconnected from reality. DO NOT APPLY FOR ANY JOB HERE

I'd like to thank you for taking the time to reach out to us. We do hope the improvements to the performance review process with allow us to work more closely with employees, acknowledge their accomplishments and outline areas of improvement to decrease mistakes in general. The Partners do have the best interests of the company in mind and make decisions with those intentions which may not always be popular decisions. It’s not always apparent what challenges each department is facing. We welcome all those interested in a progressive technology integrator to see all that VectorUSA has to offer.
