Pros
Small company gives a variety of work to one person so you're not stuck in a monotonous role.
Cons
Lots of arguments within the company. Lots of disrespect and favorites. The boss is very anxious and tries micromanaging everything. I came up with ideas for assays I should do and they were dismissed by my boss and then later he brought them up as if they were his idea. If that's not gaslighting, I don't know what is. Frequent calls during weekends and vacations. The other employees don't trust each other, there is a lot of contempt, one in particular is a master of stonewalling. There is little care for healthy work life balance, this is all work. Expect stress to the point of being physically ill.
