Pros
When I was joining Uizard, I was still recovering from my previous role - but the open, supporting culture at Uizard helped me get up to speed at my own pace, while enjoying the fun social environment. Truthfully the most enjoyable onboarding I have ever received! The remote-first mentality is also a great fit for me. I adore the fact that most of the year, I can work remotely and spend my free time with family, while knowing that we have regular, in-person meetups with other uizards to build our social bonds outside of work. Overall, it has been a fantastic experience and I recommend Uizard as a place of work for anyone with similar views on work preferences.
Cons
While Uizard manages to get the best of both worlds between remote and on-site work, it is still not for everyone. The remote-first mentality means that everyone needs to be actively communicative about both their work and concerns, while at the same time the regular onsites require to be based in Europe most of the year. It is up to everyone to decide whether this is compatible with their personal preferences, as the company is very open about this during the hiring process.
