There are better opportunities out there

Pros

Very good product. Some great team members.

Cons

This is a very small company, which shouldn't be a deterrent but it almost feels like a lifestyle business. Leadership team are incredibly poor with communication and the CEO can contradict himself in the same day. CEO has stretched himself over too many projects to keep a handle on everything with consistency. CEO is very passive aggressive and has passively threatened cash flow issues with the team. Does not want to work through issues, just gets frustrated, emotional and angry. CEO depends heavily on an advisor/mentor who has "forced him" to build an online product (often cites this as his reason to expand the company). Some staff members are absolutely terrified of CEO. Staff morale is very low. There is no company culture.

Difficult place to work

Pros

Interesting industry and audience.

Cons

CEO simply has no business being a CEO. Sure, he is an expert in his field and a great educator but he lacks any genuine people management skills, which in a small company, is very telling. Stamping your feet and declaring you are the boss is not the way to do things. This isn't 1992. This won't rank in the best 200 places to work. You will be made feel like you are lucky to have a job.

Pros

Office culture is great and there's always a laugh about the place. The work is never boring and you're never stuck on your own. Brilliant team mentality and the company/product is honestly something to be proud of. The course offers people a new career path and it's very rewarding to part of something that genuinely helps people in their lives. Being a start up and a smaller team, opportunity to progress is there and good work is recognised by management.

Cons

Music choice will be ridiculed - all in good fun of course.
