Great benefits and team

Pros

The benefits within the company are good compared to several others I've been at. I also enjoy working with many of the people here. There is room to work your way into positions internally.

Cons

Workload can be heavy at times.

Pros

There are also a lot of intelligent, hardworking, and supportive people across the organization who continue to care deeply about their teams and the success of the business.

Cons

There are still many good people here and a lot of potential in the organization. I genuinely believe the culture could improve again if there was a stronger focus on rebuilding trust, visibility, and employee connection alongside business growth. Another area worth reflecting on is company-wide communication. While I know many messages are intended to be motivating or celebratory, some communications can come across as disconnected from what employees are actively experiencing day to day. In periods where teams are stretched thin or under pressure, messaging around growth, travel, celebrations, or performance can sometimes land differently than intended. A more grounded and employee-aware communication style would likely resonate more positively across the organization.

Pros

I was a 12 month intern but was treated as a full time associate. I was constantly given opportunities to share my opinions and my work was valued greatly. The environment created by the team was very friendly and inclusive. Additionally, everyone had a great work life balance.

Cons

My only con was that work was a bit slow paced at times. However, I was an intern so my responsibilities were a bit limited on leading projects.

Toxic Executive Leadership

Recommend

Business outlook

Pros

A good deal of conscientious employees who want to work, apply their skills, and improve the company.

Cons

Executive leadership continually cuts good employees in order to hit operating profit targets and receive their grotesque bonus. They preach about core values and then don't demonstrate them themselves. Making lower associates the scapegoats for their failings. They don't support their teams with training and stepping in when they should, but instead just sit as a panel of judges who you have to come and present to at their summons. Constantly having gourmet catered fancy meals while associates are brought before them to be ground up and made to feel inadequate. They use good people until their is nothing left in them and they are burnt out, then they discard them. The executives never stay in their positions long enough to have to explain the utter messes they create. As an example, they have had 5 presidents in the last 7 years and every single vice president has left or changed roles at least once in the last 4 years. They don't spend long enough in role to know how their departments function or what peoples jobs are. They just come in, restructure, cut people to improve profit and get their bonus and then move on.

Pros

the directors, managers, and frontline leaders who are constantly solving problems, filling gaps, and holding things together with limited support. That layer works incredibly hard and deserves far more recognition than it gets.

Cons

Operations does not feel like a real priority anymore. More and more, it seems like work is being shifted to China while the teams here are left to deal with shrinking resources, constant pressure, and the expectation to somehow keep delivering at the same level. There is very little sense that this function is being protected or invested in for the long term. What makes it worse is how disconnected senior leadership feels from the reality of the operation. The president and much of the leadership team could not tell you anything meaningful about Operations if you asked. They do not seem to understand how the work gets done, what the actual challenges are, or what people on the ground need to succeed. Yet they continue making decisions that directly affect the function, while the people closest to the work are left cleaning up the fallout. Because Operations does not seem to have real VP-level advocacy, the burden falls on the next layer down. Those leaders are worked like dogs. Some more than others but its appalling. One of the few bright spots is the Senior Director, who actually listens, helps, and seems to understand what people are dealing with. Unfortunately, even that only goes so far when someone at that level is carrying so much. Overall, it feels like leadership is detached, Operations is not truly valued, and the people keeping the place running are being pushed past their limits.

Going downhill

Business outlook

Pros

Good place to learn what poor leadership and weak culture look like in practice.

Cons

This company went downhill after the departure of the last president. Under previous leadership, the team was far more cohesive, aligned, and productive. Since that change, it has become obvious that the current leadership group is not on the same page. The disconnect is visible at every level of the business, especially to the people doing the actual work every day. The leadership team feels completely out of touch with reality. They seem more focused on optics, travel, and the next dollar than on the employees keeping the place running. workers put in the blood, sweat, and effort, while leadership is absent from the real issues and disconnected from the day-to-day challenges people are dealing with. There is little meaningful recognition, little genuine support, and no real sense that employees matter beyond what they produce. Some people are worked like dogs and expected to be on around the clock, while others do next to nothing and stay protected. There is no consistency, no fairness, and no accountability. The politics at this company are insane, and a lot of the culture feels fake. It is more about appearances, favoritism, and protecting the right people than actually doing what is right or supporting the employees carrying the load. The culture is weak. Morale is low, and leadership does little to change that. There are no real social events, no effort to build a strong workplace environment, and no meaningful investment in employee experience. Throwing a food truck at employees once in a while is not appreciation. It is a lazy substitute for real leadership and real recognition. Another major issue is attitude. The senior leaders come across as arrogant, snarky, and dismissive. Some are flat-out rude and not approachable at all. There is a clear sense that they believe they are above the people doing the real work. They do not seem to understand what is happening on the ground, and frankly, it shows. Parking and safety are also a serious problem. The office parking lot is too small for the number of employees expected on site, forcing people to use an overflow lot that is about a 10-minute walk away. That walk includes a dark, garbage-filled path, and then the rest of the route is along a road with no sidewalk. For a company that expects people to show up and work hard, the lack of concern for basic employee safety is unacceptable. The people at the top seem disconnected, self-important, political, and far removed from the employees carrying the business.

Pros

A good place to get your feet wet early in your career and the company itself does meaningful work. If you can find a remote role and don’t mind constant pressure you may still have a decent experience depending on your team.

Cons

I only came to read the reviews after hearing people talk about them, and unfortunately they’re right. I used to be genuinely proud to work here. There was a time where people cared about each other, leadership was approachable, and employees felt valued beyond what they could produce and it wasn’t that long ago. That culture is long gone. Over the last year or two, I’ve watched this company lose many good people because the message has become very clear: everyone is replaceable. Leadership no longer seems to care about employees as people only what makes leadership look good on paper. Unfortunately it is also true that leaders who treat people poorly or create toxic environments seem to continue to move up. It’s sad to watch a company that once felt special turn into a place driven by optics, politics, and fear as someone else here said. I never thought I would say this, but I would not recommend working here anymore.
