Pros

Decent salary and medical benefits.

Cons

Dishonest recruiting and employment practices: When I was recruited I was promised a 9-5 schedule with some on-call shifts. In actuality, I discovered shortly after accepting the role that 40% of my evenings required 8-9PM conference calls with folks in Tokyo. This forced me to relocate my entire family from the East Coast to WA within 90 days of accepting the role so that I could end my workday at a reasonable hour. Legal Issues: Less than a year later, the company violated federal law and then retaliated against me for pushing back on the violations. I resigned in disgust as a result of the retaliation, but an employment related government agency ultimately agreed that their actions were illegal and I was able to be compensated for the ordeal. Ethics Issues: During my relatively brief time there, I became aware of situations where the General Counsel signed off on contract language making false cybersecurity assurances. I objected to the language in question and engaged our outside counsel to try and block the fraudulent contracts from being signed, but our general counsel determined that the risk of the fraud being discovered and litigated against was low enough to justify continuing to agree to that contract language for lucrative deals. My jaw almost hit the floor when I heard the decision!

Thank you for sharing your experience. We take all feedback seriously and are concerned by the nature of the allegations you have made. Given the seriousness of your claims, we would like to provide a brief response. But more importantly, we would like to understand your concerns in more detail and would urge you to report them through our confidential ethics hotline at www.treasuredata.com/speak-up-helpline (which you can do anonymously). First, we are continuously working to improve our internal processes, including our recruiting and hiring. While we have more work to do, we have come a long way since the period we believe you are referring to, i.e., the fall of 2021 (which was the time of our spin-out from Arm and reorganization as an independent company). We take legal compliance very seriously, and we do not tolerate retaliation against employees who raise concerns in good faith. Moreover, ethical business practices are fundamental to our company values. We have robust processes in place for review and approval of our contractual commitments and for ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. We are committed to maintaining a fair, ethical, and legally compliant workplace. We encourage all employees to report any concerns through our established channels, including our HR department, ethics hotline, and/or anonymous reporting tool (these are also available to former employees to report concerns, regardless of how much time has passed). We hope to learn more about your concerns and invite you to utilize any of these channels to report them.

Where is vision and strategy?

Pros

Many good and smart people in manager and individual roles.

Cons

Right on schedule with layoffs, November, Febuary, April, June, & now August more layoffs. Or as the leaders say its streamlining & optimizing. Right. CFO strategy looks to be cut cut cut. CRO strategy is yell do better, complains nobody likes him but then turns about and complain about his own team. Then cut reps because he doesn't know what else to do. CMO also on the cut bandwagon and did a lot of layoffs. Good people in mktg quit too. Maybe since he is still new he can turn things around but no plan or vision yet Product strategy, don't worry about it because it will change next quarter. And it will change again the next quarter etc. Not a solid foundation right now for career stability and growth.

Due to macroeconomics that are affecting many companies today, we’ve had to make some tough decisions to remain competitive. We recognize that change can be hard, but believe we have the right strategy in place to continue to scale our vision. We are committed to our values of openness and honesty and will address the feedback directly with the leadership team.

Worst work environment I have ever seen!

Pros

It seems like they have good investors. They also have good traction in Japan.

Cons

This is the worst management team I have ever seen. The CFO has HUGE anger management issues and is very abusive. We have all heard him abusing employees, even the most senior people. His actions are totally supported by the CEO. This abusive work environment is driving all the senior and good people from the company. It is a very hostile work environment.
