Pros
The only pro was some of the people I met in my office. It had nothing to do with the company itself.
Cons
Where to start? They won an AEB contract to deliver level 2 NCFE/Highfield qualifications in Liverpool and they think they can do this in 2 weeks with all assessments completed by learners and work corrected by staff. No materials, overview, assessments were prepared for skills coaches. All they had were some online assessments which were, quite frankly, embarrassing. Their systems were far too complicated and no proper training was given. When we didn't understand something, we were blamed. Very hostile members of staff in their Barnsley office. I heard one person shouting at other members of staff down the phone the first time I met her and then when questioned about systems by one of the staff on our team, she was extremely rude. The company is very close-knit and many family members are involved, everyone seems to be the "head" or "manager" of something. Academically speaking, what they proposed to do not only will hinder learners from having a holistic learning experience, it questioned my integrity as a qualified teaching professional and for this reason I had to walk away.
