Pros

Colleagues/people in my team were really nice (translators, QAers and PMs)

Cons

Poor management. People in the managerial roles have absolutely no idea what you are doing on a daily basis as a linguist. They don't have a realistic picture of individual projects, hence ask you to do things that are almost impossible. They don't really care about how you feel (when the workload is overwhelming, you already have too much to do etc) and just ask you to 'do your best'. However when you made a mistake, they are not supportive and ask you to explain how/why this happened, although you did express your concerns to them beforehand. You need to work extremely hard every day to meet tight deadlines, while receiving no acknowledgement or appreciation whatsoever. The pressure and stress is insane, the salary is extremely low especially when living in London, there's no support to focus on your self-development. No benefits or perks that reward your hard work or no flexibility.

Pros

At the beginning of Covid they still cared for remote employees and it felt like a family business (was still GlobaLexicon then, before being integrated at Toppan Digital Language)

Cons

As Linguist you are on the lowest level in this company and they don't care about you or about what you might think. You work really hard and get no appreciation at all. No time for anything apart from working (eg. socialising with other employees). Remote employees haven`t been integrated at all. Especially as German Linguist it was a nightmare as they have no idea and also didn`t show much interest in German laws and the well being of employees. High fluctuation because of all the stress and the "not listening" mentality.

Pros

I honestly found no pros in this company.

Cons

Poor management, micro management, huge lack of flexibility, working extra hours everyday. No possibility to grow and low salary for the amount of work and stress we deal with everyday. No support from managers because they are too busy or absent when we need them.
