Pros

Good retail hours, closed on Sunday.

Cons

Micromanaged the entire time. No work life balance, senior level management is a complete joke and runs off feelings and emotions vs making the right decision. Favoritism is high is this franchise and you won't get far if they dont like you.

Pros

Pay is ok Great learning of business

Cons

Low hourly rate, micromanaging, queued values. Very Cult like atmosphere, again this is specifically The cotton franchise / Easy Step Enterprises. Favoritism is at an all time high. Before I left the company we had a team meeting where Jonathan cotton forced an African American employee into a Slave monument in Richmond Virginia. Henry box brown I believe it was & that was the last straw for me as well as many others . Very racist company … look other places if your of African American descent. They cover it up with endorsements with multiple black athletes but they don’t know what goes on inside the franchise

Pros

- Decent commission if sales are made.

Cons

- No 401k, despite what job posting says. - Ability to make sales is dependent on if owner advertises. - Goals are nearly impossible to achieve across the board. - Advertised income (55k to 70k) is not accurate, even at the stores with the most foot traffic. - Extremely high turnover. - If you do not perform well in one month you will be let go. - Favoritism shown to employees that can talk the talk, but don't actually perform well for the bottom line.

Pros

Money was decent with occasional bonuses

Cons

Management, insurance was terrible. The consistant arguing over the 2 owners affecting the business and favoritism.

Pros

Honestly the job is amazing, you feel good about what you do and the work is simple.

Cons

Upper management is horrible. The people in power will not hesitate to legitimately yell at managers and associates. They have serious sense of favoritism and only look after their own. And one of the directors has been known to be sexual towards several employees. When you interview, they will preach good work life balance but there is none here. Your days off are random and change each week. Almost never have 2 days off together. If you don't perform very well with only 2 days of training then you'll be fired so make sure you have good sales experience. Be ready to make no money sometimes and work at 3 or more locations that can be anywhere from park meadows mall to Broomfield.

Pros

The commission benefits are not bad.

Cons

*This review is specifically for the Cotton-Owned franchises encapsulating VA, MD, NC, OH and DC* This company actively sells you an idealized version of itself and its morals, advocating for employee-first rights and care for their customers. This is false, as with any company, sales at the extent of all else is their bottom line. -Favoritism and nepotism are rampant throughout management. -They repeatedly make false promises while stunting employees' professional growth, despite still expecting blind obedience. -Higher management will actively talk negatively about their employees. -Complete lack of work-life balance. -Expect even base-level employees to take on more of a workload than their job description without proper compensation or even acknowledgment. -Casual comments of racism and sexism are not unusual. -Improperly handled sexual harassment cases. -The Saturday lunches they promise are not guaranteed. -Objective outside family and friends have referred to the company as a "cult".

Pros

Some laughs with customers and employees

Cons

Underdeveloped management. Harassment that’s allowed by management. Especially if they are friends. It’s a toxic environment and a favoritism role. Narcissistic behavior from upper management. The quota is doable but that’s if you speak to people. 10 people one month. 3 people next month. Quota is still the same.
