As an SC, you do a lot of fieldwork (weekends and nights), especially when AmeriCorps Members turn over (only a 1 year contract). Could be good for you if you want that direct organizing and advocacy experience. However, the org is making changes in their structure and increasing salaries, which will hopefully lead to more long-term employees, with great benefits and not so long hours. When it comes to top leadership (director and deputy), their management styles are Laissez-faire, which is good for certain people, but not this organization. Younger employees need more direction. Leaders just need to be quicker in decision-making and hold people accountable so their folks are trained properly --> trickle down affect.
