Pros

Semi-flexible work schedule, friendly co-workers

Cons

Stress, constantly short staffed, unorganized, mandatory in person unpaid meetings, non competitive salary, scapegoat of the operation, rarely feel appreciated, constant calls to cover shifts, low accountability for mistakes.

Pros

The management team is genuinely nice and treats employees with respect. Work hours are consistent and manageable

Cons

The job is extremely high-stress and physically demanding, with real safety risks. Despite the dangerous nature of the work, there are no meaningful perks, bonuses or cost-effective benefits to support employees. Vacation isn’t available until after one full year—and even then, the time off is minimal (5 days). Overall compensation does not reflect the intensity or risk of the role.

Pros

Great coworkers. Relaxed pace. Good equipment. Their own shop. Fuel on the yard. Never had to be towed back to the yard. Feed my family for many years.

Cons

In June of 2019 they began a very aggressive recruiting push which caused the upper 10% (high performance drivers) to lose significant income. They pandemic came later and due to large new driver pool it crushed drivers morale in the senior drivers and caused mass exodus. The general feel of senior drivers is that no one in Management who can fix this really care. Senior drivers feel like management see them as an expensive cost of doing business and that there experience has no true merit or value. A lot is spent in technology and safety systems and equipment. I have sat on both sides of the table and can truly say that the safest driver on the road is one who gets paid well. His/Her only concern is safely operating the vehicle. Not worries about income. My first 4 1/2 years I felt like I was in heaven at a job I could retire from. The last two each day going in was increasingly harder. Something changed in the last 2 years and they need to find out what this new module is not good for strong sustainable growth. Love the company hate the changes.
