Pros
A fun, casual atmosphere where you're encouraged to be yourself with the students. Good for artists--the schedule in intermittent, and you have options about how much to take on. You can also always take a semester or two off and come back when you're done with whatever project or could use some supplemental income.
Cons
Job security is based on enrollment--you might be working three courses one semester and only one the next. If you live in Brooklyn/Queens, you'll have to travel--probably to Long Island. (But you do get travel reimbursed, and free dinner.)
