A big family working - most of the time - together
Pros
Working for TESA is a real pleasure for its work ambience and its (recent) synergy between employees. There is an actual social life within the company. There is a private pension fund and rather flexible schedules. Evaluations are objective-driven, which is very positive for people willing to work independently. The finance team is a friendly work space of collaboration. The CEO, Fabrice Schertenleib, is driving TESA to success, while complying with Hexagon (TESA's owner) policies and objectives, with expertise.
Cons
As there is very little turnover, employees are rather aged, and this creates some resistance to change. Developing new things can be difficult if not sanctioned by the managing team. Inner mobility is thin, albeit positively evolving. There is also a tendency of keeping some employees, not because they are competent, but because they were here for a long time, which also depreciates career opportunities.
