Toll department: far from ideal, and no willingness to improve.
Pros
Absolutely amazing body of friendly people (except a few rotten apples). Atmosphere was very pleasant for the most part: no-one bats an eye at no-one (mostly) unless your music is plaiyng too high. Salary was not amazing, but it was competitive. They have a public space with microwaves where you can warm your lunch and have it your way. The office resides in the very middle of Barcelona city, it cannot be more central and accessible than that.
Cons
Project management was severely lacking. Tasks were completed in the basis of how angry or upset a client was, so the priority list was filled with fires to be put out. The product that is sold has been in the works for the better part of a decade, but instead of building up to a strong software and learning from past mistakes Tecsidel is mostly selling the same scrap of code it was selling 10 years ago. With the same caveats, same bugs, but with a shiny new 2019 label. No RnD whatsoever bar a few outlier cases that push it on their own free time. In my particular case, my department was dragging all the baggage for as long as the client wouldn't complain . When someone found a leak in said software we patched it as fast as possible for the 100th time before moving on to the next patch.
