Pros

Some of the kindest, hardworking, mission-driven folks doing the actual work.

Cons

Yes, I was laid off so I'm bitter. But I had valid concerns before leaving, the layoff was just an added shock. - Very low pay. The ranges on Glassdoor are way over actual pay. Combined with no job security, it's risky. - Little career growth. Yet still a ridiculous amount of hierarchy? - Almost no racial diversity, and none in senior leadership, with no plans to fix it. - No accountability for upper management who pushed for excessive growth despite constant concerns and operating outside our means. - Lack of resources and training, especially for hiring partner growth. - The parent org Stride is cutthroat and calls the shots so the mission and values are just lip-service. We were read a form letter in a 15-minute Zoom and instantly deactivated from all services when just a week earlier at our all-team, they were talking about adding 6 new cohorts. And some supervisors weren't even told that their reports were being let go and found out via LinkedIn. - Delusional vision and toxic positivity doesn't seem to address the realities of the market we were operating in.

Pros

Can make a positive impact on student’s lives. Get to work with smart, dedicated employees.

Cons

Senior leadership doesn’t listen, isn’t accountable, is greedy, and thinks Tech Elevator can do no wrong. Senior leadership sold out to a giant company and subsequently employed a strategy of hyper growth. No surprise that it failed and we underwent a massive layoff. Pay is below market rates because they believe being a mission-driven company is worth taking less. Too bad the mission is becoming growth and profit first, not education.

Pros

Working from home was the best part

Cons

They have no confidence in anyone on the Enterprise team except a certain person. They will screw you out of your bonus. i know a couple of people that this happened to. No room for growth. They make promises to get you hired but you stay in the same position. For this position, the pay is wayyyyy lower (only like $60k) than the average in the industry ($100k+). When this was brought up, nothing changed. My advice is to look for better options.
