Pros

Incredibly smart and interesting people at the lower and mid level

Cons

-Zero direction: it changes once every 6 months with no attempt to see if the current strategy will succeed before moving on to something different -Promoting and keeping incredibly abusive and toxic managers -Zero investment in customer care and experience -Complete lack of diversity, equity, or inclusion ("diversity" being "a problem Americans make up" according to European colleagues and leadership) -Lip service paid to improvements like restructuring levels and raises/promotions, with no action taken towards improvement or explanation of the choices made -HR leadership is a joke: lower levels do the best they can, but senior management and up are worse than incompetent, they seem to be actively bad at their jobs -Constantly driving out talent through incompetence at the senior levels -No opportunity for career progression if you're not constantly in a c-suite level person's orbit or friends with the founder

Pros

Great team of people. Very talented CSMs with great work ethic.

Cons

Leadership places absolutely no value in their Customer Success department and it is not shy to articulate these facts. "Cheap and replaceable" are adjectives that have often been associated with the employees of the CS Department. Despite the the fact that CSMs have to juggle between 50-80 clients per person, the team has done a fantastic job in going above all insane targets set ( high increases in up-sells and cross-sells and good churn rates)- the leadership has stated during annual meetings that this was JUST OK and sees no reason for promotions, paid extra hours or bigger bonuses. The above facts have given people in CS a lot of disappointment and heartache as they should be considered a more valuable asset in the company. There are no development plans for one's career in CS in this company and no real focus in client strategy either. Unfortunately, despite the skilled team, nobody has time to create a real CS approach and processes to map a client's journey to success. Toxicity levels rose due to the way leadership is managing people turning them against eachother, mostly creating a decentralized culture where only the Sales Team seems to have some sort of value in the company. The CS remuneration is an utter joke, deviously positioned by HR as top pay for Luxembourg -making one think that this was the only place someone who doesn't have a financial/ banking background can work. That is not the case anymore as new Saas companies have already marked a presence in Luxembourg. Since CS in Talkwalker is highly focused on upselling rather than tailoring success for users, perhaps CSMs should also be incentivised with comissions rather than...well, nothing at all. To add one more argument to why working at TW won't be the best experience, beware of the unsanitary office conditions in that old building.

Pros

1.Some great talent - Talkwalker can hire but fails to retain! 2. Good product

Cons

1. Major disconnect between leadership and reality - senior leadership is conservative across the board with a distinct lack of ability or willingness to take risks. 2. Systemic racism - leadership and HR are happy to throw around the term 'diverse' when the reality is they are a 'diverse' set of white Europeans. This Euro-centric 'diversity' is used conveniently as an excuse for not standing up for important social issues and allowing systemic racism to persist within the company. 3. Casual racism - racial microaggressions on a daily basis as "jokes" are the norm especially by the Sales and Marketing leadership. 4. Pay structure is well below industry average 5. Traditional hierarchical structure 6. Lack of career growth opportunities - no transparent or rewarding career milestones. It is common for your job title and responsibilities to change with no compensation. Leadership and HR have been known to change job titles specifically to make them less searchable and decrease employees' chances of finding another job. 7. High churn rate - between the haphazard firing sprees and the intelligent employees quitting, Talkwalker's churn rate is scarily high.
