Pros

There literally are no pros atall. There were some lovely people when I worked there but the majority have (quite rightly) escaped this awful place.

Cons

Steer well clear of this toxic place! Any of the positive reviews here are likely to be written by HR or SLT in a desperate and pathetic attempt to try and counteract the endless negative reviews. It’s not going to work, sorry to break it to you. There is also a thing called ‘word of mouth’, people talk, and it’s a small world. I have even had recruiters and people in my new job tell me they have heard awful things about THG before I even said a word. Due to THG Ingenuity being the worst experience of a business in my career to date, I feel it is only fair to warn any other potential candidates who are considering applying for a job here. All of the negative reviews that are 2 stars and under are actually the reality of what it’s like to work there, so don’t trust the positive reviews. The newest positive review states ‘not everyone is suited to the environment’.. I could laugh at how absurd and deluded this statement is, but more than anything it infuriated me. No one who cares for their own sanity and mental health (the majority of people) would be suited to this awful environment, hence why so many people leave in their droves every week, some even without another job lined up (thus risking financial instability in the current climate) as mentioned in countless reviews here. Stop blaming your hardworking, talented employees on ‘not being suited to the environment’ when it is in fact your failings as a business and the toxic mess of a culture you have enabled. In fact, it is your terrible business and culture that is not suitable for us. It’s so obvious that it’s a fake review, the SLT said the exact same thing when I worked there - ‘not everyone is suited to this environment’. This is completely shifting blame, selfishly evading accountability and responsibility. Blame culture is rife there and it’s clear to see why. This is proof that they don’t care for their employees whatsoever, they are not treated humanely or with respect. Taking some accountability would be a good place to start in building more positive reviews, rather than some half hearted attempt at a positive review on Glassdoor that probably took one minute to write. It’s shameful and completely disregards all of the issues and stress you have put your current and former employees through (and continue to, by all accounts).

Pros

Ok discounts on THG Brands

Cons

Awful culture. CEO regularly boasts about how little he sees his own family and kids, they have just told everyone that they have to go back in the office full time and that sacrifices need to be made at home to put in the time at the office. The whole company is run by junior people with very little experience and a CEO who is very much out for his own career and nothing else. They are celebrating people sleeping in the office at peak times. The office they’re forcing everyone back to is out of the way, soulless and miserable place.

Pros

The office is new and clean.

Cons

Avoid at all cost. Too much workload and your team expect you to reply/finish tasks during your annual leave. Management is chaotic, my manager was changing every 2-3months. Poor project management. You have to take over a project without much explanations and you have to take responsibility for what you have no idea. You will have to be apologizing to the client for what you didn't do every week. HR is almost like a scam. They stop replying once you start to talk about money back for work related expenses. Unrealistic goals and expectations. This company promise unrealistic revenues to clients and you'll be the one who will be blamed for under performing website by both your boss and the clients. Zero respect for other cultures and languages. They will ask you to do other teams' job just because you are multilingual. They think if you speak the language, you should be a marketing expert of the country and know everything about the culture and market trends. Some people said they had chances to learn a lot in this company and that's true, but in the most unhealthy way. Your manager wont have time to teach you anything so only chance to grow is a client call. You will get harsh feedbacks from your client every week, then you'll find a way to get better by yourself. Most people in the company are very nice, but the working environment and the system are just too unorganized. I really hope that the company will soon realise how much talent they are loosing by rushing to rapid growth. Until then, I can't recommend working here to anybody.
