Pros

Nothing - an absolute hell on Earth. Lab manager was sacked for whistle blowing (Google).

Cons

Dangerous place to work. They will break you. Mentally. Physically. If you read this and still apply for a job here, especially for a nursing or lab role, you only got yourself to blame. Think, why would a good company have such a high staff turnover? Staff are desperate to leave.

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review. We’re sorry your employment experience with us was negative. This is not what we strive for here at TFP Fertility. Our clinics are regulated by HFEA the independent body that regulates the quality and safety of all fertility treatment in the UK and CQC and these bodies regard us as safe and responsible employer and provider. We have policies in place to ensure colleagues are working fair and flexible hours. We’re unable to comment on individual colleague circumstances.

Pros

There are absolutely no pros at all.

Cons

Where do I begin? There is no training or correct process for onboarding new staff, the company senior managers are all older Caucasians and they will only hire a POC to probably tick a box on their end. This company is beyond toxic from staff to managers, the senior management/operational teams are bullies and toxic humans who will bully you out of the company purely because they don’t like you- borderline racist and ageists perhaps? The in-house staff are no better, it’s like high school bully environment and you’ll have people not just talk and gossip behind your back, but scream and shout at you to your face. No professionalism no respect no regard for mental well-being at all. It’s such a shame as what the company do is amazing, they need to bring the right kind of people in starting from the top and start investing in staff and not bullying pushing people out with no opportunity to learn. Shambles of a company.

Thank you so much for giving feedback about your experience with our company because your feedback helps us improve. We’re very sorry to hear that your experience was a negative one. Here at TFP Fertility UK we strongly believe in employee satisfaction and strive to have an engaged and well rewarded workforce. We have also been working hard to introduce new initiatives with employee satisfaction in mind. We have introduced Induction Days for all new starters on which they get to meet the Senior Leadership Team and other colleagues from across the business. During this day new starters hear from our UK Managing Director, HR, operations, marketing and finance and gain insight into organisational goals. They get to ask any questions they have and learn from other new starters about their roles. We have an appraisal process in place that gives colleagues the opportunity to set their own objectives and work together to review these on a regular basis. We have introduced colleague roadshows, once a quarter our UK Managing Director visits each clinic to share company updates and insight and marketing and operations also join this session to share updates and take questions. We have implemented LGBT training for colleagues and plan continue rolling this out over the coming year. We have developed a colleague newsletter in print and email format to share updates from across the company. The UK Senior Leadership Team has been restructured and are regularly out and about in clinics to hear from colleagues and update on projects they’re involved in. Employees are recognised for their hard work and pay rises have been awarded for the past 3 years including this year. Pros

Most staff are very friendly

Cons

Constant turnover in head office staff means a lot of things never get completed and things often end up incorrect. There is no proper on boarding process when joining through HR who have had a constant staff turnover over the last two years. Similarly there is no appraisal or annual review procedure in place for the majority of staff members meaning their is no way to learn and grow professionally. There is no culture and no reward system for current employees. You constantly feel like you’re fighting a losing battle trying to get anything done as you are constantly shot down. No inflationary pay rises are given, there was an annual bonus scheme for employees and management but the employee bonus scheme has been removed. A number of staff members don’t understand how to communicate in a professional manner and so they think it’s acceptable to make certain comments / shout at you when they’re unhappy. Head office is current squeezing the budget more and more. This company could be such a great company to work for. It has just been ruined by the current management team.
