Pros

Good office perks and a few supportive coworkers

Cons

The supervisor always had me at their beck and call, micromanaging every step just to claim credit and backstab me at any chance. Despite contributing fully, I was subject to unnecessary humiliation, sideline in meetings, and treated like I didn't know my work. The environment fostered a twisted game where favoritism trumped actual skill, leaving no room for real career growth. It became clear that , no matter my effort, I would never truly be valued here.

Pros

Coworkers that used to be there were great.

Cons

Refuse to even acknowledge how underpaid the employees are. Several people have left and have told them the mood of the employees and what it would take to stop having employees drop like flies... yet they have done and said nothing for the existing employees. The company was recently bought by a PE firm and ever since there are more and more things that point to a lack of concern/care for the employees and more ways to line the pockets of upper management. They don't care if you're underpaid, overworked, or don't have a work-life balance. They are trying to make the company look the best they can so they can turn around and sell it to the next PE firm. Not worth it to move to the middle of nowhere Texas, work under people who aren't willing to do anything for you, and be paid 60% of your actual work value. You will be talked about behind your back while having no idea that there is even an issue. Do yourself a favor and keep looking, this isn't it.

Thanks for taking the time to share your employment story with us. You are not alone in your feedback. It is input like yours that leadership has heard and has driven many of the initiatives we have incorporated since May 2020. One of these being a review of pay and job leveling, which we have worked throughout the organization to adjust since 2020. Our new CTO, who started this year, has partnered with the global People Team to incorporate title and pay changes within the development organization in 2021. In addition, our CTO has worked to make additional changes, such as a learning and certification reimbursement program. Since May 2020, we have taken many steps to create positive change. We rolled out a new system that enables employees to view their pay and benefits, a new handbook with Parental leave and updated PTO policies including time to take to volunteer in your community, moved to a 40 hour work week, created a new mental health benefit, launched OKRs and a companywide Rally Cry to create greater alignment, and more. We do care about our employees and their experience at TCP Software. This is why we will be launching an improved employee listening platform with additional feedback channels to increase the ability of our employees to share their stories. We value everyone's input and welcome you to reach out to provide additional commentary to HR@tcpsoftware.com.

Pros

You get a donut on a Monday morning, You get some shaved ice on a Friday afternoon, You get a free t-shirt or at best 25$ coupon when you ask for a much deserved raise.

Cons

The Development team has lost almost 50% of the team in the last 3 months and the management couldn't care less, but hey the regrettable attrition is <10%, so they'll wait for 10% I guess. Paying your developers 70,000$ a year for 50 hour work weeks after 5-6 years in the company is an outright joke, it is enslavement and exploitation of talent. To top that the raises don't even beat the inflation. There's no work life balance, when you raise the same issue, they start calling you a family too. From the looks of it, the way it's going the newly hired executives might have to start coding as there wouldn't be any team left to code.
