Pros

Lunch / dinner and transport provided

Cons

Honestly Syscolabs was once a great company, but now the management does not care about the employees at all. No proper increments for years and they are cutting off salaries day by day and no compensation for tax reductions are provided. Now it seems like they want to shutdown operations in Sri Lanka and to archive that they are making the employees lives miserable and making them to leave the company.

Pros

Sysco Labs was a great company that had a great culture and was a great place to work. A really good tech stack, great people, and great culture helped Sysco labs to come to its current state and people had no issues working here.

Cons

The recent HR head and management has made this company a really bad place and almost all the employees are not satisfied with the way that they work now. They do not have the backbone to negotiate with USA management and due to that employees are penalized with unfair policies. No proper increments are given, and no proper communication is done even now they do not even have Q&A sessions because they are afraid of questions from employees. If this continues, definitely the company gonna lose all good employees and finally it will have a huge impact on the status that the great engineers built with a huge effort.

Pros

People in non-management are extremely friendly, and it's easy to find friends.

Cons

Complete waterfall process, non-agile. Expect dates to be set before projects are started, or scoped. Expect non-collaboration from some product managers regarding requirements or scope. Most work is completed by the Sri Lanka office, and not the Austin office. Expect many early in the morning phone calls. Expect Sri Lankan project managers to set impossible project deadlines, and report upwards that you are not meeting your goals. Most departments do not have sufficiently senior staff to complete projects. Engineering is severely under-skilled. Most engineers do not know how most parts of the system work. Management is severely critical of engineering. Expect constant feedback that engineering is not performing. Expect to be micro-managed. Positive feedback is never given.
