Pros

Remote work for obvious reasons.

Cons

I am disappointed writing this but since I saw the reviews were of people who were told (messaged on slack) to write 5-star reviews - I had to speak up. The management team is young naive and inexperienced! Coworkers here have some of the biggest ego's you've ever seen and have no concept of teamwork. Nothing original here despite all the hype you are fed during the interview process. It's a generic “tech” startup with no upward mobility. You need to be the CEO's favorite to get ahead. Better off elsewhere for more money. Constant micro-management from the CEO. Sales practices here are cringe-inducing and make you bow your head in shame. A lot of fake people. They offer below-market salaries in favor of hype and an amazing culture. They are so focused on pretending that they are the best when actually it is all smoke and mirrors. Many of the employees are too young and inexperienced to be able to recognize toxic workplace behavior. You can tell by some of the positive reviews on here that tend to echo each other. It was disappointing to see how employees treated each other. Lack of transparency around pay/equity. They have kept people on board who are bad at their jobs, but because they have been "loyal", they keep them when it is not in the best interest of the company, team or bottom line. At the same time, they have let really awesome people leave.

Pros

Remote work Health Insurance 33 Vacation Days & Holidays International Friendly team

Cons

Constant micro-management from the CEO. In company meetings will preach teamwork, flexibility, autonomy but then doesn't listen to the expertise of the people he works with. Doesn't know how to give constructive feedback and can be quite rude.

Pros

Generally great culture with nice, helpful and some competent co-workers, 33 days PTO, co-working space budget, WFH stipend, emphasis on learning & development, lots of autonomy to run independently and work from home/anywhere, flexibility in terms of time management (they trust you even if you take some time off here and there off the records but still get the work done).....

Cons

Middle management is hit and miss.... they have some really good middle managers, and some really incompetent ones (who are trusted very much by the CEO/C-suite level for personal relationship reasons). They have done several layoffs already, even though each time they say they wouldn't be doing more (layoff experience was also poor). They try to chart their direction and vision for the next Q/H but it keeps changing with the rest of the market, which is disruptive for employees on the ground and also then leads to their justification for layoffs... Their layoffs are extremely short-sighted as they retrench competent employees who go above and beyond, then hire for the same roles again soon after in some location where labour is cheaper...?
