Pros

Working Remote is the only pro for this horrible place

Cons

Horrible management that misleads their clients and employees. Transparency doesn't exist only lies. This company is so horrible it begs employees to give them good reviews in order to attract new employees since it is a revolving door (notice the positive reviews are within in days of each other from the same departments). Also we work remotely so it's not like you have employees gathering in the breakroom or around someone's cubicle gossiping about the horrible management here! Morale is at an all time low, as management refuses to listen to their employees and if you say something that is deemed to be negative about how screwed up this place is they will pick and pick until you either quit or they fire you. No one is able to ever get through their enormous workload and because of the micromanagement, and unnecessary re-working of the same accounts due to incorrect reports it is difficult to meet production guidelines as you MUST WORK the accounts that are spoon fed to you by management and what they deem as priority from a reporting platform that has NEVER been accurate, however this is how upper management reviews your work.

Pros

The only good thing is that the position is remote

Cons

This all boils down to bad executive leadership. They do not listen to their employees. The training program is great, if everyone completed things the same way. Even with the training, once you get your assigned center/centers, you find that things are not done the way that the training states to. They also neglect to tell new employees that not only will they need to complete insurance Accounts Receivable work, but they will also be a call center for patient calls. This company could get rid of one person in particular and morale would skyrocket.

Oh no! We are sorry to see this negative review. Although I have to disagree, I think executive leadership does listen and our leaders continuously seek out feedback to continue improve the working environment and processes. I think that we could do a better job of communicating why we didn't move forward with a suggestion, but we take everything into consideration and continuously ask for feedback. We utilize our employee satisfaction surveys, skip level meetings and an open door policy to provide team member’s opportunity to share their points of view. While we have experienced occasional turnover, nothing points to leaving the company in droves. Our turnover rate was in line with the industry. Feel free to reach out to Human Resources with any questions regarding workload or provide feedback on the training program so we can improve at HR@SurgicalNotes.com or send your favorite HR person a Teams message!

Pros

I left when I did

Cons

Sr Management Team does not care for their team. If you do not agree with their"vision" you will get moved to another team/center or they will harass you until and set unrealistic expectations so they can write you up or make you quit. Their vision is to make $ at the expense of their employees) upper management will throw teammates under the bus to look better and take credit for things they did not do. They use a fear based approach and HR protects upper management when they should have integrity for the company and all the employees. It's just plain pathetic.

We appreciate the time you have taken to leave feedback on your experience with Surgical Notes. We are sad that your experience has not met your expectations. As you have noted, our management team does occasionally need to move team member’s to other teams or centers dependent on the needs of the organization. Additionally, many have productivity standards that align with industry expectations but our team takes a collaborative approach of assisting team member’s in meeting those goals. We invite you to please reach out to Human Resources regarding concerns of a “fear based approach” and "Executives that do not follow ethical practices" so an investigation can be under taken as this is not something we tolerate at Surgical Notes. We can be reached at hr@surgicalnotes.com to further discuss these concerns.
