Pros

-work/life balance is great - 14 hours of PTO but you have to use it for all dentist appointments, etc. - allowed to carry over 40 hours of PTO from one year to the next - great place to build experience for use a future companies - training is ongoing - 401(k) plan with a company match, overall the benefit plan were average to above average - summer hours program is great, except they require you to work 40 hours in order to leave at 2 pm every other Friday

Cons

- clock in/clock out mentality, zero flexible work options (work from home, etc.) - no room for career growth as the same 4 people have been running the company for years - company is very top heavy, with favoritism and pay geared to benefit the five people in middle and upper management - company hires younger employees (college grads) so they can underpay them and feel justified in doing so - very monotonousness work, with a required 100 calls a day, you can close maybe 1 deal a month - people are hired, fired, and quit all the time, not many long ternured employees

Pros

Experience for a first time job seeker in telemarketing sales.

Cons

You're basically doing telemarketing sales making over 100 cold calls a day. Also, even if you do well and work your tail off just remember, you're there to make a few wealthy, they are not interested in seeing you do the same and will take what you do right away from you in a second.

We regret to hear that you were not happy with your time here at Surety Systems. We take great pride in offering a work environment that is both enjoyable and equal for everyone; we are sorry that you feel this wasn't the case for you. We totally agree that 100 calls a day is not the most fun and that is why we abandoned that practice 5+ years ago. We now approach potential customers with high-quality ERP specific content that drives them to utilize our services instead. Since we have doubled in size during the last 5+ years we can confidently say that you were right! We want to take the opportunity to thank you for your three years of service and wish you best of luck on your next endeavor. As always, we welcome any additional feedback you may have so we can continue to improve. Please feel free to send a note to hr@suretysystems.com so we can continue the conversation.

Thank you for taking the time to submit your review - we are sorry to hear that you were not happy with your three years here at Surety Systems. We must not have been the right culture match for you when you worked here years ago. We have made many positive changes that I think you would have liked. We abandoned telemarketing 5+ years ago and have grown substantially since then. Almost all of our sales outreach is via email, marketing and set conference calls with clients. We agree that we used to be male dominated and have taken many steps to be more inclusive as evidenced by our key managers in marketing, accounting and business development all being female (and all awesome!) Actually we have been 50% male / 50% female for at least the last year. It goes without saying that we equally value the contributions of everyone here on the team. Everyone is given the same opportunity to advance their career and are judged on their performance and merits alone. We believe our vacation schedule is generous since, at a minimum, it includes 8 vacation days, 14 days PTO plus the full week between Christmas and New Years off. All employees were also out of the office last year for a company wide 4 day conference in Las Vegas. Our flex time policy allows for earlier/later arrive and departure from the office. There is also additional 12 days off per year based on comp time. We understand that work/life balance is crucial for the success of everyone here at Surety, both personally and professionally. All managers at Surety receive training prior to taking on any direct reports but you’re right, the individual employee training is something that we are always striving to improve. With the enormous growth of our business in just the past two years, the new software and technology that we have implemented to complement our growth has been a learning process for everyone. All employees at Surety go through a comprehensive on-boarding process and have allocated time with each business unit to understand our overall brand/mission/values, as well as learning the tools and techniques they need to be successful in their particular position. We find our open-office concept to be extremely valuable as everyone can collaborate freely, plus gives us plenty of room to set up the corn hole boards on Friday afternoons during one of our famous GMABs :) Since everyone in the office is granted access to our shared Pandora station that plays over our speakers, we understand that not everyone’s music tastes will be the same but again, everyone has their own choice to pick or change the music. As always, we welcome any additional feedback you may have so we can continue to improve and we wish you the best of luck on your next endeavor. Please feel free to send a note to hr@suretysystems.com so we can continue the conversation.
