Pros

Remote work (although this is being reviewed, so it won’t remain a pro for long) Distance to free coffee from my kitchen (I needed a lot of it)

Cons

1. **Redundancies with a Twist:** Ever wanted to be part of a magic show? At Staysure, you can watch your colleagues disappear in a puff of redundancy smoke, only to see their roles magically reappear on job boards the next day. It’s like being in a live-action LinkedIn update. 2. **Speak Up, Get Out:** Got some constructive feedback? Keep it to yourself if you enjoy paying your mortgage. Expressing your thoughts to management here is like walking a tightrope over a pit of P45s. 3. **TGIF Emails:** Nothing quite says “weekend” like a weekly Friday afternoon email from the CEO. Imagine your inbox dinging with threats to "get tough," right when you’re contemplating how many hours you can binge-watch Netflix. It’s the perfect end to a perfect week of chaos. 4. **Old Boys Club:** Staysure’s boardroom diversity looks like a casting call for a 1950s business drama. Sure, there’s a token nod to diversity, but it’s more of a checkbox exercise than a genuine commitment. I haven’t seen this many identical suits since my last trip to Savile Row. 5. **Project Turnaround Times:** If you love playing impossible games, you'll thrive here. Project timelines are so unrealistic that even Houdini would struggle to meet them. Poorly managed expectations are the company’s real specialty. 6. **Management Cohesion? Never Heard of It:** At Staysure, management cohesion is as mythical as unicorns. Each department operates like its own fiefdom, with managers communicating through a series of smoke signals and carrier pigeons. 7. **Support for Bullies:** Bullies thrive here like bees in a flower garden. Instead of addressing toxic behavior, management seems to endorse it, making it the perfect workplace for aspiring dictators. 8. **Departments Pitted Against Each Other:** If you enjoy gladiatorial combat, you’ll love the inter-departmental wars. Staysure excels at fostering an environment where departments are pitted against each other, ensuring maximum inefficiency and resentment.

Pros

- Good people to work with

Cons

- Upper management run the show like dictators - Only interested in making money and not actually interested in the customers and definitely not the staff - No support to staff at all even though they love to rave about it and "making a difference" - Senior management makes everyone beneath them feel like scrubs and not worthwhile - Made a load of redundancies which was handled in the worst way you could imagine leaving 30 good hard-working people without a job and leaving the rest of us at the company feeling awful with no support - More redundancies will happen. Offshore the work to Sri Lanka and work them to the bone for very little money - If I could give 0 stars I would cause 1 star is generous

Awful and toxic. Don't do it!

Pros

Some nice colleagues. Good salary. That's all.

Cons

Avoid this place if you value yourself, your wellbeing and your mental health. A nice recruiter and welcome box is where the pleasantries conclude. Support and help from line manager was non-existent at best. Was not shown where anything was, any processes, given any insight at all. Lack of diversity. Women only in the usual token roles. SLT can mostly be found on the golf course plotting your future. Otherwise, it's total chaos and shambles as none of them are capable of offering sturdy direction or leadership or even a decision on anything. The boardroom is an ego battle of middle aged white men with red personality traits. Good people would be there one day, vanished the next with no explanation. This was a common occurence. Same with externals we worked with, they'd get the heave ho all of a sudden with no real justification. They are good at messing people about. Working there caused me a great deal of stress and anxiety to the point I was afraid to start my working day as I never knew what was coming next. You never feel safe or secure in your role. Profit trumps everything. I have been where the grass is definitely greener where a company has looked after it's people and created amazing careers. This place will never be one of them. The newly appointed CEO is on a complete ego trip. Beware. You deserve better than Staysure and that applies to anyone and everyone, even current employees. I also find it bizarre that all of a sudden a heap of glowing reviews have appeared after a tirade of the truth.
