Pros

Some nice colleagues. Good salary. That's all.

Cons

Avoid this place if you value yourself, your wellbeing and your mental health. A nice recruiter and welcome box is where the pleasantries conclude. Support and help from line manager was non-existent at best. Was not shown where anything was, any processes, given any insight at all. Lack of diversity. Women only in the usual token roles. SLT can mostly be found on the golf course plotting your future. Otherwise, it's total chaos and shambles as none of them are capable of offering sturdy direction or leadership or even a decision on anything. The boardroom is an ego battle of middle aged white men with red personality traits. Good people would be there one day, vanished the next with no explanation. This was a common occurence. Same with externals we worked with, they'd get the heave ho all of a sudden with no real justification. They are good at messing people about. Working there caused me a great deal of stress and anxiety to the point I was afraid to start my working day as I never knew what was coming next. You never feel safe or secure in your role. Profit trumps everything. I have been where the grass is definitely greener where a company has looked after it's people and created amazing careers. This place will never be one of them. The newly appointed CEO is on a complete ego trip. Beware. You deserve better than Staysure and that applies to anyone and everyone, even current employees. I also find it bizarre that all of a sudden a heap of glowing reviews have appeared after a tirade of the truth.

Thank you for supporting the business for the past two years. As Glassdoor is an independent platform we do not and cannot influence what people want to post, and we're pleased to say we have received balanced feedback from all levels of employees. We offer a competitive salary and regularly assess ourselves against recognised benchmarking reports to ensure we stay current.

Pros

Overall, no positives that I can think of. Some staff are sent a joining gift box which is a nice touch (pens, pack of crisps, cup, etc).

Cons

Toxic working environment. Overworked, with extremely poor salary relative to my role. Based on salary ranges published on external job ads, there appeared to be significant inconsistencies in pay across comparable roles. Hired to do one role but quickly ended up covering responsibilities that were intended for several roles. There was an expectation that staff would work to the point of burn-out with little recognition or appreciation. I experienced a culture where being talked down to or criticised in meetings in front of the team was normalised by certain senior people. The working environment also felt siloed, with limited cross-team collaboration. Attempts to bring teams together for more collaborative working practices were often shut down. Conversations about pay reviews were repeatedly shut down or not considered worthy of response. Extra work was piled on to compensate for gaps elsewhere in the business where essential skills for the role were lacking. Frequent redundancies throughout my time at Staysure left staff feeling uneasy and created an atmosphere where people seemed to feel pressure to compete with colleagues to protect their own jobs. Staff were constantly being asked to do more and more with very little positive feedback or recognition. It’s difficult to write a critical review, but important that companies with poor culture are called out. Based on my experience, I would not recommend working here.
