Pros

Remote work, flexible hours, unlimited PTO,

Cons

No clear direction for the company, startup culture, CEO is very opinionated and attached to the company so there's not much freedom to bring new ideas to the table, hiring too fast instead of encouraging internal growth, not much professional development, disorganized, chaotic, massive company lay-off eliminated a whole department, cliquey, low paying

Pros

Remote job with work life balance.

Cons

Management has no management background and no education. Giving you feedback in a job they have never done. Veteran employees can work their way up quickly but new employees are expected to go through the "proper channels". Communication is terrible from direct management . Pay is the lowest in the industry. Sales targets are impossible to achieve and they move the goal post every time you do achieve your goals.

On behalf of ourselves and our entire leadership team here at Statusphere, thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. We are deeply sorry to hear that you had anything less than a stellar experience working here. We have taken your feedback into account as we continue to build an amazing place to work. Here are some of the steps we have taken since your time with us: - Conducted holistic Check-ins with our entire Sales Development team to create a two-way dialogue and receive candid feedback on their experience & hear how we can improve. - Created clear, equitable, and transparent career and compensation progression charts that are based on industry standards, specific goals & core competencies. - Providing our entire team (across all levels) the tools and training they need to be successful leaders and strong communicators through our Gallaher Edge Communication resources & Marlow professional development coaching. - Finalized core values that we expect team members to uphold at all times. We thank you for the time you invested with us and wish you all the best in your future career endeavors. Please know that you are welcome to reach out to us if you have any further feedback for us to consider or actions to take as we build a great place to work. Pros

401k, health insurance, vision, dental, “down to earth culture”, some managers have very good intentions and are great people, everyone’s very young (if you consider that a pro…)

Cons

I don’t even know how they get away with paying some of these positions so low. You can probably make more in fast food nowadays. Most SDR jobs pay a base salary of $50k-$70k, and they think it’s okay to offer their SDRs bases of $17k-$30k. Quotas are also made to be unachievable and they’ll change your quota to be higher if you achieve it. Meanwhile other companies will give you accelerators. So many people have left the sales team this year because of the pay. Also, a lot of the SDRs that have been there the longest, got forced into pay DEMOTIONS. Lastly, there’s no encouragement for career growth here, and if there is, you’ll take a pay cut.

We are deeply sorry to hear that you had anything less than a stellar experience working here. We have taken your feedback into account as we continue to build an amazing place to work. Here are some of the steps we have taken since your time with us: - We have re-evaluated SQL quotas and restructured them to be attainable by the whole team - this is very important to us! To make sure it was fair for the SDRs we gave full quota relief during this calibration period. - Created a realistic quota ramp to allow new team members to build their pipelines and still make the full potential of their commissions. - Conducted holistic Check-ins with our Sales Development team to create two-way dialogue and receive candid feedback on their experience & and take action on improving their experience. We are a quickly growing startup, and we understand we have room for improvement along the way.
