Pros

Experience, fast paced organization, growing organization, snacks, good views at Microsoft campuses, not much else

Cons

Verbally abuse, cancerous organization. Myself and others would be constantly talked down to, screamed at, and verbally assaulted by upper management and especially the CEO. Public shamming, making personal attacks and making fun of people to their face or to others outside of the room was common place and accepted. There are a few good people there but there are also many that do not understand the concept of professionalism, respect, and work-life balance. A saying at the organization was "consulting is an adrenaline rush and you will never want to leave". In addition to all that, that the pay was horrible for a consulting firm. Also on average they fire half the people they hire within 3 months, very telling of their culture.

Don’t Believe the Hype

Pros

Fully stocked kitchen and great benefits for full time employees.

Cons

A breading pool for prejudice and discrimination. A company started as a boys club by 4 friends from the same demographic background. It’s their way or the highway, their biases determine how the company develops, who moves up, and what talents are rewarded. Family members directly report to each other or work alongside each other and HR has no ability or pull outside of the owners wishes. They often mistreat employees and sweep it under the rug, allowing them to maintain the facade of one of the best places to work in Washington - DON’T BELIEVE THE HYPE!

Thank you for your candid feedback. It is difficult to receive this feedback for sure. But more than anything I’m sorry this was your experience. I do, however, appreciate the opportunity to address areas to improve. I’d like to acknowledge the points you make and share what we are doing as a company to address some of the things you mention. We are indeed four middle-aged white men. We are a smaller company trying to become a bigger company and undoubtedly bias can creep in. We purposefully hired a new head of HR to help us identify and remove bias. In the past couple of years, we have worked hard to put systems and policies in place to minimize bias. HR may only be a year and a half old but has already implemented multiple ways to remove bias and discrimination. This shows up in everything from the way we hire people, to our performance reviews, promotions, the way we pay our people and through fostering a positive culture. HR acts as a neutral party to me, to the company, and to all employees. As CEO I act on their recommendations. I also act on recommendations from our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion groups who speak on behalf of all employees. My role as CEO is to ensure we have a company our people can be proud of. We use a pulse survey to understand the employee experience and I am encouraged by the latest results which indicates positive progress. These are serious allegations in your post that I sincerely take to heart. In order to address these effectively, I invite you to give me examples. Please reach out to me or to our head of HR. You may do so by sending us an email directly. Randy

Pros

ATM, great benefits, and pay. Amazing and wonderful consultants, CDMs, a few directors, and some ops staff. Very dedicated to equality, equity, and diversity... very proud of their work in this space... a shining light in midst of sinking ship.

Cons

This firm is on a steep decline. Since selling to the Reply network, the ONLY thing that matters is the final buyout check two years from now, for the executives. Money and profitability have not only supplanted employees, but there is a severe lack of vision and creativity in navigating a changing consulting management landscape. Also, little to no career opportunities past mid management. Upper management / leadership roles are only for favorites and old friends.
