On spinnakers website they advertise Happy Employees= Satisfied Customers. The reality is I feel that spinnaker pours so much into keeping thier customers satisfied and need to pour more into making thier employees happy. The culture has gone down hill in the last year and a half and they are trying to save it by doing everything except the one thing they should do which is listen to thier employees. And create an environment that’s comfortable for employees to voice thier concerns and fustrations. They have poured more into a rebranding than they have into strengthening the culture abd truly keeping thier employees happy.
Salaries are not anywhere near market value for some positions. There are employees there who have been working there for a while that make poor salaries and if they leave or if someone else is hired in a similar role thier salary is way way higher this is absolute crap.
I have never worked for a company where the head of HR is in csuite this makes 0 sense how can HR advocate for employees when they are on csuite and advocate for the ceo, cfo and others on csuite. Also HR is full of great talent but is not personable or approachable. I felt more like another number than an employee who was valued at spinnaker.
In a lot of roles there is no room for growth or for professional development. So if you are young and hungry for success look elsewhere.
If feeling valued, heard, getting paid a decent salary in some roles, integrity, diversity, professional growth and development mean a lot to you look elsewhere.
