Pros

Most people are hard workers. Lots of offices to possibly travel and work from

Cons

Leadership team struggles to stay on message leaving the company unfocused and you'll often find yourself working hard without actual achievements. Isn't a safe environment for women, people of color or LGBT people Product does very specific things well, but struggles to gain larger appeal. Tough in a competitive market

Thanks for your feedback. While we respect anyone's opinion, these remarks are too important for us not to react to it. We like to let the data speak to give a perspective on how many people at Showpad (dis)agree with what you have written. Showpad measures every quarter how our employees feel we are doing and what we can do better in an anonymous engagement survey. I am happy to share our latest 2018 survey results of some questions we asked our employees that are related to your comments. 1/ On diversity. “Showpad creates a workplace where people of any background can be successful and thrive, regardless of gender, ethnicity, age or sexual preference". --> 97 % of all Showpad employees (+300 people) fully agree with this statement in our most recent survey. This does not mean we stop there: we have working groups around both gender and cultural diversity, we track it on our HR dashboards, it is part of our values ('embrace diversity')... Most of all we believe our diversity is a key part of our success. 2/ Are we lost in space? "Executive leaders have communicated a vision that motivates me": --> 96% fully agrees with this statement in our latest 2018 engagement survey. "I know how my day-to-day work contributes to the goals of Showpad": --> 99% of all Showpad employees agrees 3/ Not the rocket ship? We are on track to doubling our ARR from about $28M end of 2017 to +$50M end of 2018. Showpad has also been ranked by Inc Magazine as one of Europe's fastest growing private companies. So not sure what your definition of a rocket ship is. I also like to point out that I have never in my tenure as Founder/CEO of this company threatened to fire groups of people at Showpad. That is simply not true. The - anonymously - collected data points above demonstrate that Showpad is an incredibly fast growing company, with employees that are motivated by our vision, mission and who know how they can contribute to our success. Most importantly they can do so in an environment where they feel safe and valued and that celebrates a culture of diversity. We will keep working hard to keep it that way and even improve results and standards to which we hold ourselves.

Abrasive, Men's Club Culture

Pros

snacks and drinks, most who work here are good people

Cons

Where to begin.. For a company that prides itself on its "award winning culture" there's a huge disconnect on what actually qualifies as a great culture. Yes, unlimited PTO and catered in lunch once a week is nice, but what employees really want is mentorship, helpfulness, & managers who are hands on and want to see their team be successful. For a small company there is a lot of office politics that you will inevitably be dragged into. Boy's club mentality. Higher management is all white males besides *surprise* marketing. Men to woman ratio is very high, with no active efforts to level the ratio. No mentorship programs. No career mapping, and very little promoting/hiring from within the company. Very high turn over, every week several people leave. You will work with people who try to get ahead at their coworkers expense. Very caddy behavior from those who have been at the Chicago office since it's inception (a little over 1 1/2 years ago) those who started in the beginning stick together.

Pros

competitive pay generous benefits (no 401k match and unlimited pto, meaning you won't be paid for un-used vacation days0 plenty of free food, beer and wine

Cons

startup scam and fictitious rocket ship. if you interview with the company, ask them how many executives they fired in the last six months. the company has an experience of firing the whole teams (marketing, sales, sales enablement, you name it ...) in one day non-diverse and non-inclusive. if you aren't belgian, you don't have any chances for growth or promotion. they don't have any career maps. showpad is a transit point - really good people come and go. leadership is very immature with no respect or trust to the US employees
