David Wise is a man that preaches "one for one, one for all" mentality, a man that promises to protect your health (both mental and physical), and create an inclusive, fun office culture. Unfortunately, none of these were true.
David Wise takes advantage of young, aspiring employees by being an egotistical man who only cares about making money for himself. If you have a short or long term disability, he will weaponize your health against you. He will put you on a PIP (performance improvement plan) only to fire you days later with no explanation or cause. He will change the compensation structure for his own gain if he feels like an employee is getting too much compensation. David Wise will strip every value he tries to instill upon hiring you.
Work/life balance is frowned upon at this company, with "unlimited" PTO being frowned upon where he makes you feel like you can't take any time off or you will never get internally promoted. Sick days are limited to 3 days per year, and work events outside of work hours (weekends, evenings, etc.) are not accounted for hours overworked.
David instills a toxic work environment on a group of talented individuals who deserve the tools and opportunity to succeed. He does not care about his "mission" to help the hospitality industry. Bottom line: do not work for this company or this man.
