Pros

People - Some of the most dedicated, smart, funny, inquisitive, collaborative, and open minded people I have ever known have come from my time at Shareablee. I'm proud to say I worked with such a group in its prime, and I'm also proud to call many of these exceptional individuals friends today. I was lucky enough to sit in a position where I could be involved closely with the entire company from sales over to the developers, and there was some real talent and passion. Office - really superb location, mostly. Great view of the Brooklyn Bridge. Currently the entire office is available for rent, thanks 42 Floors website! The new Shareablee location looks pretty amazing too, at least according to the Washington State Business records database.

Cons

Culture - Shareablee resembles a truck that picks up exotic fruit and then dumps it rotten at its destination. This, in no way, a reflection of the employees, rather it is a reflection of the CEO, Tania Yuki. It is well known that any CEO is a massive pillar of their company's culture, and the culture that Shareablee's CEO promotes is one of deceit, fraud, cover ups, and greed. It's a culture that strains personal relationships and damages hard-earned client relationships. It's a culture that leads to a count down of when it will all be done. Technology - The platform today would be exceptional 3 years ago. Currently, social media has changed, and Shareablee is simply chasing for an answer. Most of the fancy colored charts in the platform have effectively been retired from an analytics perspective, it's now just about getting "some" data about a competitor. Further, the CTO has been reduced to the "master of reporting" which signals the move from innovation to simply execution. Shareablee can't keep up with Facebook's innovations, be it 360 video, 360 photo, Live Video, or anything Instagram video or Twitter Live video, and that's a really terrible thing when you're a social media analytics company. Further, Tania Yuki is a thief. I mentioned earlier the strong network that formed from Shareablee employees, and I can't believe that Tania doesn't realize that we still talk. It has become a well known thing that she steals money from employees who quit or do something she doesn't like (interns: be aware!!!). It has actually become a bit of a joke for us. "Yeah, I apparently only worked 30-something hours in my final full week" and "haha, yeah, I apparently decided to take some 'unpaid leave' at a place which touts unlimited vacation!". When Tania isn't plotting to steal from employees, she is focused on being as smarmy as possible. Example: her mass firings were always done on Tuesdays so that those who might need unemployment cash are denied that full week of benefits.

A unique form of torture

Pros

The only perks were my coworkers who were the only reason I could force myself to work each morning (they've all since left).

Cons

I truly have to say this was the worst experience I've had in my entire life thus far. Please, PLEASE read this and run. I don't care how desperate you are for a job, this is not worth it! Okay: 1) Crazy CEO. As the other reviews have stated, she's insane and punishes her employees rather than uplifting them. You can see her effects trickle down to lower levels of management as well, who push their reports to attain the unattainable so that they can keep the CEO happy. I have to say my manager was equally as bad as the CEO. Completely unrealistic, abusive, and a slave-driver due to fear of what would happen to them if they didn't meet ridiculous expectations. By the time I was getting ready to quit, I literally cried every day before going into work. 2) The company has completely fallen apart. The ONLY good thing about Shareablee was my co-workers who were (semi) plentiful while I was there. Now that everyone has either left or been fired save for a few gems (godspeed, friends), there is literally no reason to join. Oh, and the company never knew how to allocate resources either. Rather than adding new employees to areas that were cracking from growing pains, leads added them to already plentiful departments such as sales/development. 3) There is no one to hear your pleas. I had a completely crazy, rage-filed lead who regularly verbally abused and attacked their reports (due to their own fear of the even crazier CEO). There is no HR or anyone who can hear your cries for help. Everyone is too afraid of losing their own job to help others or take a stand. DO NOT WORK HERE. PERIOD. (Especially new grads and interns, no matter how desperate you are--they will suck the soul right out of you.)

Employees, Clients and Prospects Beware

Pros

You get the view of the Brooklyn Bridge, as you all know. The underlying dataset behind the platform is pretty solid and the sheer labor that has gone into organizing that dataset is commendable as well.

Cons

I'll limit this to my favs... The company has gone from almost 80 employees to around 15 in the last year #leanstartup The CEO fabricated an altercation with an employee saying that she was "threatened with physical harm". The CEO then contacted the HR provider saying that she was considering sending all female employees home as a result of said (fabricated) altercation #notcool When a member of the board of directors came into the office to fire the CEO, the CEO claimed that employees did not know who he was and that they "felt threatened" by "this stranger". She claimed that she sent all employees home as a result, but in reality, everyone went to a bar to celebrate what they thought was her termination. The day is fondly referred to as Bloody Monday, because when people returned to the office, she went on a firing spree targeting any "dissenters" #goodtimes The CEO also ran an organic snack company out of the office #entrepreneur #lentilchips The CEO will most likely attempt to take legal action against Glassdoor for defamation of character...wouldn't be the first time #truestory Or maybe the CEO will just impersonate former employees using their company email addresses to write bizarre positive reviews. Even worse, maybe she will continue to impersonate those former employees by responding to clients using their emails #nobueno
