Challenging missions, nice people, but making profit is difficult
Pros
1) The mission here is really challenging. Oftenly you will not work as a cog in a huge machine, you need to take responsibility of things that are really comprehensive. 2) The work time is flexibile, but this varies greatly across different teams. For my team, usually one can choose when to go to work, just to ensure that you deliver your work in time and the whole working hours meet the minimum requirement. Usually no work will be arranged at weekend. But again, this varies greatly, and I saw teams that work really overtime every day and even in the weekend. 3) The salary is usually good, not as so good as many internet companies in China, but not too bad.
Cons
1) The management is a bit messy. Basically you cannot expect regularized process as in many big companies. Oftenly you need to deal with the requirement in and outside your deparment or from the customers. Sometimes this is quite frustrated especially when a large workload comes to you but no skillful project manager is there to manage the whole process professionally to make everything coordinated. 2) The refresh of salary is slow. Even you managed to get ahead and there is a raise of salary, do not expect too many. Basically, it is of high possibility that your salary keeps similar even after many years. 3) Making profit is difficult for this company. This would make the top management here emphasize intensively on making profits. As a result, the middle-management would ask you to do lots of works to meet every requirement of the customers, catch up with any deadline, to gain the chance of signing contract. This can sometimes may one feel painful.
