Pros

Relatively good compensation and benefits. Their product does perform rather well for certain applications and they have the potential to grow in todays market.

Cons

Made insubstantial claims about the performance of their product in regard to preference and enhanced response time from law enforcement in the local market which the alarm coordinator with PPB denied. When confronted with this and other complaints about ethics management made excuses for their illegal behavior. They offered me a promotion which I turned down because of my concerns, they gave me a month to find another job which had a negative impact on my career. There are plenty of places to work. There is money to be made here if you are a real "go getter" but my advice is to do your homework and stick with what is already working. If you sell, sell to the best fit clients with outdoor systems and / or ask a lot of questions about how to make an air tight system that is easy to use (DMP piggy back with fobs) its a hard sell and expensive, but selling the right customers and getting referrals is the only way to build a book of business and really survive there. Ask a lot of good questions and don't drink the coolaide. In customer service, learn your systems and be fast and organized, its like drinking from a fire hose and there is a lot to do. Best wishes to applicants and the organization as well.

I'm sorry that it didn't work out for your here. I suspect the 722 criminals that have been arrested by our Verified security system since 2012 would view your opinion of "unsubstantial claims" quite differently. Obviously we weren't the right fit for you but baseless claims of illegal behavior are not accurate. Please feel free to call me personally if you'd like to further discuss. Jim Payne, CEO

Pros

I work for both Secure Pacific and Sonitrol Pacific as the Inventory coordinator - I have been doing my job for the past year and LOVE it! I am not micro managed, being checked in on constantly or being told to do something that is not in my job description. It has felt like family since day one and everyone in my office gets along. I have WAY more family time and I am much happier. This company is amazing in all aspects. I have room to grow, and the resources available when I need or have questions. I highly recommend Secure Pacific AND Sonitrol Pacific to any one looking for a great company to work for.

Cons

Nothing that I can think of.

Pros

It's a Monday through Friday job that offers some benefits.

Cons

The company's philosophy towards challenging situations is entirely reactionary instead of proactive. Asking questions regarding policy and procedure, to improve efficiency, is often frowned upon. The pay is below industry standards. Senior management is apathetic at best, and creates a "motivation through fear" culture. Most employees will pass their work onto other departments instead of solving our client's problems themselves. There is almost no accountability. Protocol is rarely followed consistently. The training program is threadbare at best. There is a prevalent issue with communication between departments, much to our client's detriment. Nepotism runs rampant. Our sister company Sonitrol Pacific is consistently given priority over our side of the house, often leaving the Secure Pacific side shorthanded, and scrambling to accommodate the needs of our clients. This often leaves the few, hard-working people feeling tragically inept in the face of the sheer volume of work this creates, with little or no resources to complete it. If you do voice a concern to senior management, expect to get no resolution, as decisions are often made behind closed doors, with little or no discussion or explanation. Certain departments are so thin-skinned that if you upset them, accidentally or otherwise, it can have an incredibly detrimental impact on your ability to do your job. This is something I have experienced personally, and I can say, it is thoroughly frustrating.
