Valuable experience but toxic culture and unrealistic demands
Pros
Despite its issues, this company can be a good place to gain experience if you are able to keep up with the demanding pace. It provides strong exposure to AI tools and helps employees develop both marketing and technical skills related to the SEO industry. You can also develop a strong sense of resilience and gain a deeper understanding of your own skills and capabilities.
Cons
I’ve been working here for a little over a year, and unfortunately, the work culture is deeply toxic. While HR attempts to improve the situation, their efforts feel like trying to cover a fire with cardboard—the toxic environment eventually burns through every attempt to contain it. Much of this culture stems from an abusive and authoritarian leadership style. The CEO will not hesitate to belittle employees for asking questions, which is especially problematic because the company lacks proper training and skill development across many areas. Employees are often expected to figure things out on their own without adequate guidance or support. Management also seems determined to continuously increase workloads beyond what is realistically manageable. Employees are pressured to meet unreasonable expectations, even when the workload exceeds normal time and human capacity. For example, shifts and responsibilities are often compressed unrealistically, with employees expected to complete what should be 12 hours of work within an 8-hour shift. Operational planning is another major issue. Leadership frequently prioritizes large events or initiatives while leaving the rest of the operation severely understaffed, sometimes relying on only one or two employees to maintain critical functions. Those same employees are then held accountable for problems caused by the lack of staffing and support. Lastly, there is no real openness to feedback. If you express concerns or opinions that your direct manager or management disagree with, you risk retaliation, pressure to retract your comments, or even termination.
