Pros

Free lunch, dress as you please, work iPhone and laptops, stock

Cons

Disorganized management (some of which lack prior clinical research experience), no checks-and-balances (not a democracy), nepotism, gossip, constantly restructuring positions, high employee turnover, under-staffed, over-worked, and underpaid

Pros

The people. Everyone actually doing the work is amazing. Everyone in middle management and below are incredible to work with and make the place tolerable.

Cons

Literally everything else. Sponsors are promised solutions by BD just to get contracts signed that can never be delivered. The CEO is a loose cannon- he had a ridiculous message to the entire company just hours after the 3rd lay off . " if you want to pout about it pick up your toys and leave" and then spent 30 minute telling us how great the company is doing and one week later is so excited to hire another VP. They laid off two people who they had to turn around and hire as contractors because the layoffs were strictly based on who made more and these two people are vital. They preach quality but cut the work force so drastically that no one can focus on anything other than getting thru the day-doing the bare minimum just to be on the client calls. The platform is an ok product but look at other similar solutions, the platform is clearly inferior. Sponsors see the writing on the walls and have started pulling future work and good talent is leaving left and right. The idea is good, the workers are great, the CEO is arrogant and should have been fired years ago.

Pros

The name. It still reminds people the original mission of the company.

Cons

The current CEO is single handedly sinking this company to the ground. Hensurrounded himself with "yes men/women" and operates like a "king wannabe". They operate on a hire to fire model. They'll get you in with a somewhat competitive pay and the mission, which is just left over from the glory days of the company; then they'll work you to death with impossible tasks until you break (and you will!). Then you'll either quit or get fired and will be replaced by the next idealistic clinical research professional. They do NOTHING for the well-being of the employees. If they say that they do, it's only on the paper. Science 37 was in a bad shape before IPO, and now with the almost worthless price of the stock, they're in chaos mode! Sales team says yes to everything fully knowing that clinical operations will not be able to deliver! They don't care! They need new business on the balance sheet and failure to deliver will be dealt with later. This used to be an awesome tech company with a mission in clinical research. The CEO effectively turned it into a CRO that only cares about money and nothing else. Not the employees or the patients!!!
