Pros

They have lot of individual performer and good hard working folks, which has nothing to do with the company.

Cons

I have seen on more than one occasion when Simon Lee the CEO, criticized people in an open forum and HR, COO or President did nothing about it.

Pros

Upper management is accessible and does a great job to educate employees on the business of government contracting. Good health insurance benefit. Flexible hours/scheduling.

Cons

Extremely high employee turnover. Low morale. Opportunity for advancement is non-existent, even for the best employees. If you break your back for this company, if you perform over and above expectations--you still won't get anywhere at stg. Expect to be asked to spin straw into gold and to be paid like an intern. Even if you do so on a regular basis, any request for a raise will likely be denied. "Bonuses" for winning contracts, or for any other kind of exemplary performance, were insultingly low. Pretty much no incentive to work hard and challenge yourself, except when you realize that your business unit is totally screwed unless you go above and beyond. Extremely disorganized and inconsistent program management practices and policies; customers and teaming partners are regularly frustrated with the difficulty of doing business with stg. Employees also experience frustration and high stress for the same reason (ordinary business procedures are about as inefficient and difficult as trying to build a fire by rubbing two sticks together). In response, management has done nothing over many years to deliver the technology, tools, processes, or incentives that employees need to manage efficiently and please the customer.

Pros

Initially I started out with them when they were 8a, and helped remain loyal and work towards growing the company. However, after my 13th Anniversary, I saw a shift in corporate organizational behavior. It used to be about keeping the employees happy so in turn the customer/client would be happy, but $$ became the new focus. Easier to cut labor then to cut assets. They allowed for autonomous work and self-monitoring.

Cons

No loyalty after so many years. No recognition of longevity, attendance, or service. Poor salary increases and not as competitive benefits.
